    Principal Internal Auditor, KCC Job Group 5 – 1 Post

    Purpose of the job;

    • To ensure the Centre’s operations, financial activities, and administrative processes are effectively controlled, compliant, and riskmanaged by planning, executing, and reporting on internal audits; providing assurance on the adequacy of internal controls; supporting external audits; and promoting operational efficiency and accountability.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Reporting directly to the Governing Council and administratively to the Executive Director/CEO, the job holder will;
    • Develop and review internal audit charter, strategies, policies, procedures and work plans.
    • Review and draft risk-based plan and audit programs.
    • Undertake preliminary reviews of the areas to be audited.
    • Identify and profile risks inherent in operations, processes and procedures.
    • Undertake audit tests on internal controls in accounting, administration, and operational procedures;
    • Comply with the International Professional Practice Framework, PFM Act, regulations and guidelines in relation to internal audit.
    • Review audit findings and recommendations.
    • Promote confidentiality of audit files.
    • Deploy computer based audit techniques to improve internal audit efficiency.
    • Develop and implement coordination and reliance framework to ensure optimal efficiency and audit coverage.
    • Provide support to External Auditors.
    • Prepare audit reports for Audit committees and management.
    • Follow up on internal and external audit recommendations and report progress
    • Develop comprehensive programme of engagement coverage for assigned areas.
    • Administer client satisfaction surveys to identify and address any performance gaps.
    • Prepare Committee Papers;
    • Any other responsibilities as may be assigned to the employee and as are necessary to achieve the Centre’s objectives

    Requirements/Qualifications

    • The appropriate candidate must possess the following minimum qualifications;
    • Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines:- Finance, Accounting or its equivalent from a recognized and accredited institution;
    • Served for a cumulative period of nine (9) years’ relevant work experience, three (3) of which must have been at the grade of senior management or in an equivalent or comparable position.
    • Certified Public Accountants (K) or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA); or any other equivalent and relevant professional qualifications
    • Membership to the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) and Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) in good standing.
    • Certificate in Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
    • Proficiency in Computer applications and CAATs.
    • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

    Required Skills & Competencies

    • Strong knowledge of internal auditing principles, standards, and methodologies, including the International Professional Practice Framework (IPPF).
    • Ability to develop and review internal audit charters, strategies, policies, procedures, and annual work plans.
    • Competence in risk-based audit planning, including drafting audit programs and engagement coverage plans.
    • Proven skills in risk identification, analysis, and profiling across financial, operational, administrative, and compliance areas.
    • Hands-on experience in testing internal controls within accounting, administration, and operational processes.
    • Sound understanding of Public Finance Management (PFM) Act, applicable regulations, circulars, and public sector audit guidelines.
    • Ability to review audit findings, assess root causes, and formulate practical, value-adding recommendations.
    • Experience in preparing high-quality audit reports, committee papers, and management briefs.
    • Knowledge of coordination and reliance frameworks to optimize audit coverage and reduce duplication.
    • Experience providing professional support to External Auditors and facilitating audit engagements.
    • Proficiency in computer-based audit techniques (CAATs) to enhance audit efficiency and coverage.
    • Ability to analyze data using audit software, spreadsheets, and basic data analytics tools.
    • Skills in documenting audit working papers electronically while maintaining audit trail integrity.

    Sales & Marketing Officer - KCC 6 – 1 Post

    Purpose of the job;

    • To drive sustainable revenue growth, optimize utilization of KCC’s theatres and hirable spaces, and significantly increase national visibility of KCC’s creative offerings through targeted sales strategies, digital marketing, partnerships, and innovative commercialization initiatives aligned with KCC’s mandate, mission, and vision.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Reporting to the Manager, Programmes & Business Development, the job holder will;
    • Develop and execute a revenue-focused sales and marketing strategy to increase theatre bookings, space hire, and
    • commercialization of KCC facilities.
    • Actively source, pitch, and close bookings for performances, exhibitions, conferences, and corporate events to improve space utilization rates.
    • Design and roll out new services and value-added products (e.g. packaged events, residencies, creative workshops,
    • hybrid/virtual offerings) in response to market demand.
    • Lead digital marketing initiatives, including social media campaigns, paid advertising, content strategy, and SEO, to increase audience reach and booking conversions.
    • Establish and manage strategic partnerships, sponsorships, and B2B relationships with corporates, event organizers, artists, institutions, and development partners.
    • Develop and manage sales funnels, customer databases, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and tools to improve lead conversion, repeat bookings, and customer retention.
    • Conduct market research and audience segmentation to identify new markets, including outreach beyond urban centers to promote inclusivity of rural artists.
    • Coordinate promotion of in-house productions, artist programmes, and commercialization opportunities across digital and traditional platforms.
    • Support artists and creative stakeholders by improving visibility of online platforms for selling and promoting creative works and opportunities.
    • Track, analyze, and report on marketing and sales performance metrics (bookings, revenue, reach, conversion rates) and recommend data-driven improvements.
    • Contribute to the development of structured commercialization programmes despite limited manpower, prioritizing highimpact initiatives. and;
    • Any other responsibilities as may be assigned to the employee and as are necessary to achieve the Centre’s objectives.

    Requirements/Qualifications

    The appropriate candidate must possess the following minimum qualifications;

    • Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Media Studies, Business Administration, Economics or Strategic Management, or related discipline.
    • At least 3 years’ experience in a comparable marketing/communications role.
    • Professional Certifications in Social Media Marketing or Content Marketing, Marketing & Digital Marketing Certifications, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, Marketing Analytics, Data Analysis, or Performance Measurement, Events Management.
    • Proficiency in computer applications.

    Required Skills & Competencies

    • Advanced digital marketing skills, including social media management, paid ads, SEO, and content strategy.
    • Sales funnel design, lead management, and conversion tracking.
    • Proven business development and revenue generation capability.
    • Market research and audience segmentation techniques.

    Exhibition & Events Officer - KCC 6 – 1 Post

    Purpose of the Job;

    • To plan, coordinate, and deliver high-quality exhibitions and events that maximize utilization of KCC’s spaces, enhance audience engagement, support artists’ visibility, and contribute directly to revenue generation and national awareness of Kenya Cultural Centre as a leading hub for creative and cultural expression.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Reporting to the Manager, Programmes & Business Development, the job holder will;
    • Plan, coordinate, and implement exhibitions, performances, festivals, conferences, and cultural events in line with KCC’s mandate and annual programme;
    • Maintaining the Bookings Calendar for the Centre;
    • Actively schedule and manage exhibitions and events to improve utilization of galleries, theatres, and other hirable spaces;
    • Liaise with artists, curators, performers, partners, and event organizers to deliver professional, well-executed programmes;
    • Develop innovative exhibition and event concepts that respond to market demand and attract diverse audiences, including youth and rural-based artists;
    • Coordinate logistical arrangements for events, including venue preparation, schedules, technical requirements, and on-site operations;
    • Work closely with the Sales & Marketing function to package exhibitions and events as revenue-generating products;
    • Support artist participation by facilitating access to platforms for showcasing and commercializing creative works;
    • Ensure exhibitions and events are properly documented, branded, and promoted across digital and traditional channels;
    • Collect audience feedback, attendance data, and post-event reports to assess performance and inform programme improvement;
    • Ensure compliance with institutional policies, public sector standards, and safety requirements during events and exhibitions;
    • Contribute to structured programming calendars that enhance consistency, predictability, and repeat visitation; and
    • Any other responsibilities as may be assigned to the employee and as are necessary to achieve the Centre’s objectives.

    Requirements/Qualifications

    The appropriate candidate must possess the following minimum qualifications;

    • Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts, Performing Arts, Fine Arts, Arts Management, Event Management, Cultural Studies, Hospitality or Tourism Management, Communication or Public Relations or related disciplines;
    • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in an equivalent or comparable positions;
    • Certificate in Arts Administration or Cultural Programming, Audience Development or Cultural Participation, Health, Safety, and Risk Management training for events is an added advantage;
    • Proficiency in computer applications.

    Required Skills & Competencies

    • Exhibition and event planning, coordination, and management.
    • Knowledge of performing arts, visual arts, cultural programming, and creative industries.
    • Basic budgeting, scheduling, and resource coordination skills.
    • Stakeholder coordination with artists, curators, event organizers, and partners.
    • Event documentation, reporting, and programme evaluation.
