    Human Resource /Customer Care Officer

    (REF: HR/C/07/21)

    Our client, a leading urban Sacco based in Nairobi is seeking for qualified, experienced and highly motivated individuals to fill this position.

    Core Responsibilities

    • Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
    • Provide counselling on policies and procedures
    • Be actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads and managing the hiring process
    • Create and implement effective onboarding plans
    • Develop training and development programs
    • Assist in performance management processes
    • Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues
    • Maintain employee records (attendance, EEO data etc.) according to policy and legal requirements
    • Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance
    • Answering employee questions and addressing employee concerns

    • Provide information to customers/members on their account status and account balances
    • Open new SACCO accounts according to laid down rules and guidelines
    • Provide assistance to all other members of staff in other departments of the SACCO by liaising with them through healthy interactions
    • Ensure that customers’ confidential information is properly protected and only used for official purposes
    • Channel complex customer complaints and challenges to the right head of department for effective resolution

    Loans /Debt Collection Officer

    Our client, a leading urban Sacco based in Nairobi is seeking for qualified, experienced and highly motivated individuals to fill this position.

    Core Responsibilities

    • Prepare reports and make recommendations on outstanding loans for further decision making.
    • Maintain an updated register on loan related insurance claims and ensure prompt reimbursement.
    • Monitor debt collection response cycles and contacts as well as credit control performance.
    • Report and monitor all risks associated with loan recovery.
    • Ensure collection portfolio remains within accepted limits by monitoring accounts on daily basis and appropriate actions taken.
    • Investigate and resolve any customer cases queries and complaints. 
    • Regularly review non-performing loans and initiates recovery plans.
    • Ensure loan repayments and submit reports about the same.
    • Review cases already handed over to Credit Board for review.
    • Compile all required periodic loan recovery reports.
    • Compile and submit CRB Reports.

    Qualifications

    • Diploma in Cooperative Management or a related field,

    Chief Accountant

    Our client, a leading urban Sacco based in Nairobi is seeking for qualified, experienced and highly motivated individuals to fill this position.

    Core Responsibilities

    1. Preparing and filing statutory returns.
    2. Preparing and approving monthly bank reconciliations.
    3. Reconciling Debtors and Creditors.
    4. Processing staff payroll
    5. Processing payments, loan disbursements and staff salaries in a timely and accurate manner.
    6. Ensuring timely preparation of management reports by specific dates.
    7. Daily reconciliation of all mobile payment transactions of the society.
    8. Monthly reconciliation of all control accounts.
    9. Ensuring accurate and timely processing of member remittances i. e. Payroll recoveries, Direct Debits, Standing orders, etc.
    10. Preparing budgets.
    11. Ensuring that all SACCO policies and procedures, code of conduct and regulatory guidelines are strictly complied with in the processing of financial transactions.
    12. Any other duty assigned from time to time.

    Qualifications

    • A bachelor’s degree in commerce/ business /finance /Accounting or Finance. 
    • CPA (K) and a member of ICPAK.
    • Experience in heading a finance department and demonstrated capability to supervise a team.
    • Good IT knowledge
    • Experience in Microsoft Navision 18 is desirable.
    • At least seven (7) years relevant experience. 
    • Experience in a SASRA regulated SACCO is highly desirable.
    • Valid Certificate of good conduct.

    • Posting accounting transactions into the ledgers and member accounts on a daily basis
    • Daily reconciliation of cash accounts
    • Carrying out monthly reconciliation of bank and Mpesa accounts
    • Raising customer invoices and following up on payments
    • Maintaining and reconciling Debtors and Creditors
    • Processing loan disbursements and other payments in a timely and accurate manner
    • Preparing and filing statutory returns.
    • Ensuring timely preparation of management reports by specific dates
    • Monthly reconciliation of control accounts
    • Processing member remittances promptly and accurately
    • Preparing budgets
    • Any other duty assigned from time to time.
