Job Objective

We are seeking a strategic, forward thinking, industry connected, and student centric Tutorial Fellow with entrepreneurial acumen to foster teaching, research and innovation ecosystems. Duties and responsibilities

• To teach Pharmacology Units allocated by the Head of Department.
• Designing, developing, planning and delivering a range of programmes of study, sometimes for entirely new courses at various levels.
• Delivering high-quality lectures and practical sessions.
• Reviewing pharmacology course content and materials on a regular basis, updating when required.
• Collaborating with academic colleagues on course development, curriculum changes and the development of research activities.
• Carrying out research and writing research grant proposals.
• Seeking and participating in consultancies.
• Dissemination of research findings at national or international conferences, scientific symposiums and webinars.
• Providing mentorship and career guidance to students and staff.
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisors or as captured in your detailed job description;

Qualification and experience

• Hold a Master and Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Pharmacology/ Pharmacy from an accredited University.x
• At least three (3) years of post-qualification work experience.
• Demonstrate potential for university teaching, research and community extension.
• Have a commitment to high-quality teaching and fostering a positive learning environment for students.
• Valid Pharmacy and Poisons Board Practice Licence.

Qualification and experience

• Registered for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent Doctoral degree in Mechanical engineering qualification and progressing;
• A Masters  and Bachelor of Science qualification in Mechanical  Engineering speciliazing in Mechatronics and Automation Engineering /Automotive Engineering/Maintenance and Reliability Engineering/Materials Engineering from an accredited University.   
• At least three (3) years of post-qualification work experience.   
• Demonstrated university-level teaching and research experience.
• Be registered or registrable with the relevant professional body (where applicable)
