Job overview:
The Legal Assistant will be responsible for legal project management, stakeholder communication, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Key duties include staying updated on regulatory changes, managing product terms and conditions, and working with various departments to ensure compliance. The role also involves investigating and resolving customer complaints, drafting legal contracts and terms and conditions, and improving legal processes to enhance departmental efficiency and ensure the success of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Updates and Stakeholder Engagement
- Monitor and communicate regulatory updates within the industry to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Review of terms and conditions for products and regulatory correspondence.
- Collaborate with stakeholders in Fraud, BI, Finance, and Technology departments to address regulatory issues and implement necessary adjustments.
- Develop and maintain effective communication channels within the legal department and with external stakeholders.
- Participate in regular departmental meetings and collaborate with other departments to ensure streamlined communication on project progress.
Legal Documents Preparation and Records Management
- Draft and review legal contracts, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with business objectives.
- Responsible for all first drafts of legal documents before review.
- Prepare draft legal documents, such as contracts, leases, and correspondence, under the supervision of legal associates and the legal manager.
- Organize and maintain an efficient filing system for legal documents and correspondence.
- Organize and maintain legal files, both electronic and physical, to ensure easy access and retrieval.
- Ensure compliance with document retention policies and procedures.
Litigation support and Customer complaints management
- Customer complaint resolution; investigate and resolve customer complaints related to legal and regulatory matters.
- Provide administrative support for legal cases, including scheduling appointments, organizing documents, and tracking deadlines.
Administrative Services Support
- Process all business licenses and permits.
- Coordinate with external parties, such as government agencies, law enforcement, and expert witnesses.
- Stay abreast of industry-specific regulations and conduct legal research to ensure compliance.
- Perform various administrative tasks, such as answering phone calls, scheduling meetings, and managing calendars and general office support such as dispatch of correspondence, photocopying, scanning, and filing.
Legal Research and Analysis
- Utilize legal databases and research tools to gather information on various legal topics, including case law, statutes, and regulations.
- Review and analyze legal documents, such as contracts, leases, and legal opinions, to identify key terms, provisions, and potential legal issues.
- Summarize research findings and provide legal analysis in the form of memos or briefs.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Degree in Bachelor of Laws (LLB), (a Post Graduate Diploma in law will be an added advantage).
- At least 1 -2 years of experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective stakeholder management skills.
- Team player.
- Good grip of Microsoft office applications.
- Creativity, problem-solving and follow through.

The Stock Controller will be responsible for overseeing the inventory management processes, ensuring accurate stock levels, and maintaining the smooth flow of goods in and out of the store. This role requires strong attention to detail, effective problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle stock-related inquiries efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage stock levels to ensure the availability of products as per demand.
- Conduct regular stock audits to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Maintain a clean and organized stock area to ensure safety and efficiency, adhering to cleanliness standards.
- Handle the receiving, storage, and distribution of stock in compliance with company procedures.
- Record and report discrepancies between actual stock and system records.
- Maintain and update stock control databases, including product descriptions, quantities, and locations.
- Assist in managing stock rotation to minimize wastage, ensuring that products are within expiry dates when applicable.
- Provide reports on stock movements and inventory levels to management as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations regarding stock storage and handling.

- Proven experience in stock control or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
