    Market Research Manager - Electric

    At BURN and within project teams we value and recognize ability and performance.     • Leadership – You will be responsible for growing the Market Research department as a central data unit at Burn: Continuously building and improving the market research team including talent acquisition, skills development, process improvements, etc.
    • Thought leadership: providing thought leadership to successfully manage the market research team, and processes, including developing methodologies, analysis, reporting, longitudinal studies, and fieldwork to support internal customers which includes but is not limited to the following departments: NPD, Commercial, Expansion, Carbon et al.

    Duties and responsibilities:

    • Initiate coordination with management in determining research priorities for key markets.
    • Take leadership and initiative in designing, directing, and managing the entire research process projects in collaboration with the Commercial Manager for Electric, Head of Electric Operations, and Head of Product for Electric from need assessment to delivery of compelling findings drawing insights towards supporting strategic data-driven decisions.
    • Advise and oversee the execution of well-defined objectives, through the execution of the best practice methodologies, techniques, and approaches to acquire required data for decision-making in the most cost and time-efficient way.
    • Spearhead and work collaboratively with the Electric Research team including the MR Team, Pilot Managers, Pilot Leads, Project Coordinators, Data Scientists, Sales Team, and other members of the Research Team in the preparation and execution of field activities including focus groups, field surveys, in-person interviews, home visits, remote surveys et al.
    • Lead in evaluations of projects and studies e.g., evaluate the nature and condition of projects and make useful suggestions to management and market research team on best practices and strategies to apply in future project execution towards the delivery of enhanced offering and user experience.
    • Manage the collection, processing, and curating of qualitative and quantitative data, including the design of research tools, implementation, and data validation.
    • Collaborate closely with data processing departments and other stakeholders within the organization to develop data management protocols and implement any new programs or applications for improving data management.
    • Provide thought leadership in addressing emerging challenges, developing team skills, and continuously improving the input and outcome of the department.
    • Strategic input and direction on how to restructure and build up the team in the next few months for achieving planned goals through the identification of key challenges in the business model, operations, and technology, and support finding appropriate solutions and process improvements
    • Be involved in running the Electric Business MR organization, including in matters, HR, internal business processes, resource mobilization, and customer experience.
    • Supporting the grants department and manager in managing reporting schedules and doing follow-ups with the teams to ensure reporting schedules are met and soliciting input from the program teams on reports’ contents.
    • Collaborate closely with the Engineering and Software Teams in developing tools to support the project needs for payment collection and communication.
    • Work on any other related business function as required
    • Role may involve travel to other cities /countries as necessary

    Skills and Experience:

    • Strong background in a busy research environment supporting Product & Commercial teams
    • Wide knowledge and experience in planning and executing quantitative and qualitative research methodologies in all stages of the product life cycle from product ideation to commercialization with a multi-country scope.
    • Strong data handling skills using contemporary tools/languages (Ms 365, Kobo, Excel)
    • Great organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in an informal, collegial environment and execute flawless stakeholder management.

    Feasibility Studies Project Manager

     

    About The Role

    BURN is looking for a feasibility studies’ project manager, who will offer leadership and management to a global team of feasibility studies executors. You will be the go-to person for thought leadership and everything involving a project’s organization and timeline.

    The individual will be tasked with advising on the best platforms to set up surveys, most efficient processes to execute quality data collection, developing training materials, recruiting, training and managing teams of field coordinators, managing and taking ownership of data flows, quality control and assurance of the processes and data from the field and coordinating with other functions within the organizations to deliver timely reports and dashboard that will be used by the commercial teams on the best locations to set up distribution.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Work closely with the head of market intelligence, various heads of distribution operations and commercial managers to design the most efficient way to execute field feasibility studies across the various markets.
    • Grow the FS team to meet the demands of the projected distribution volumes across all markets.
    • Develop and continuously improve on the materials, SOP’s, checklists, and solutions for maintaining the highest quality processes for efficient execution of these kind of studies.
    • Work with the team of FS coordinators to continuously review and audit the processes, techniques, and methodologies necessary to complete feasibility studies projects in time both quantitatively and qualitatively.
    • Initiate and cause to be mobilized, the budgets and other needed resources necessary to execute FS’ es in time.
    • Frequently report on QA/QC audit outcome towards compliance with laid down SOP’s.
    • Collaborate and liaise closely and regularly with the relevant team members across the critical departments including but not limited to commercial, distribution and operations.
    • Provide leadership on best practices to manage and improve on corrections of erroneous output and work to continuously improve this environment by harvesting and documenting lessons towards continuous improvement.
    • Creating comprehensive monthly reports on the pareto of issues, including root causes, examples, trends, and options for solutions.

    Skills And Experience

    Individuals will need excellent technical abilities to carry out audit-like work in a data heavy environment.

    • Relevant technical data handling skills in areas of collection using tools like Kobo and advanced data analysis using Ms. Excel.
    • Multiple ream leadership and management of field teams in multiple locations.
    • Required soft skills include people and teamwork skills, critical thinking and problem solving.
    • The role-holder is expected to have strong field monitoring and evaluation skills including effective communication skills to constantly liaise with the team members to ensure all enumerators or team leaders are achieving both their qualitative and quantitative targets.
    • This specialist should also have effective communication skills to interact with team members or customers, as well as provide training as needed to colleagues.
    • Possess 4 to 7 years’ experience in multiple team leadership and management in areas like data collection or sales.
    • Multi-country teams’ management experience.

    Supply Chain Data Analyst

     

    About The Role

    Burn is looking for a data analyst who will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data across the business to make informed decisions and assist in making sound decisions.

    Duties and responsibilities:

    • Collecting and analyzing supply chain data
    • Identifying and analyzing supply chain trends and giving suggestions for supply chain improvement.
    • Analyzing procurement & Logistics risks and developing strategies to resolve the issues
    • Supporting the continuous improvement of supply chain processes and procedures
    • Assess a company’s processes, and provide data to improve efficiency and reduce costs
    • Collect, review, and analyze gathered data to locate areas in the supply chain process and develop methods to improve
    • Investigate pain points within the process and develop solutions to resolve conflicts and inefficiencies
    • Create performance reports for management to review and decision making
    • Communicate with other departments within the organization to identify efficiency issues, develop solutions, and implement changes
    • Work with the team to discover and implement the most cost-effective shipping modes and schedules
    • Design and produce monthly internal reports and metrics to measure performance against contractual deliverables, measure internal operational performance, identify trends and issues
    • Regularly track KPIs and report on Procurement and Logistics performance
    • Create dashboards, reports, and analyses that explain trends – what happened, what may happen, and why
    • Any other duty assigned by the Global Procurement & Logistics Director.

    Skills and Experience:

    • 3 Years Hands on experience in Supply Chain Data Analysis
    • Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Project Management, Statistics, or equivalent
    • Experience in using Business Intelligence or equivalent will be an added advantage
    • Good skills in Excel spreadsheets
    • Experience in handling imports and export is an added advantage
    • Hands-on experience with ERP systems – preferably Microsoft NAV
    • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
    • Willing to put in extra hours to meet goals
