Overview of the Position

Our client based in Laikipia County is looking for an ECDE teacher who will deliver on the institution’s mandate, that is teaching the pupils and helping them to learn, and acquire the educational skills and knowledge for their excellent performance as per CBC curriculum program by ministry of education.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Preparing of professional document such as scheme of work, lesson plan, and notes
• Planning, preparing and delivering effective and efficient lessons
• Assessing and reporting on the behavior of pupils.
• Assist in teaching pupils based on national CBC guidelines.
• Ensuring the highest standards of quality and applying the most up –to-date teaching methods.
• Assist in managing the classroom materials, pupils and productively navigate the curriculum.
• Encouraging pupils to participate on lessons learning and other school activities
• Produce a report on the weekly duty’s performance
• Assist in preparing internal exams, pupils’ assessments, as required from time to time.
• Assist in examining, invigilating exams/assessments, marking and ensuring there is productive performance.
• Ensure Learner study records/Individualized Education Programs (IEP) based on different capabilities and learning styles is managed
• Ensure that the learners’ environment is clean, physically safe, emotionally secure and psychologically enabling.
• Performing any other duties as may be prescribed to you from time to time

Qualifications

• A minimum of ECDE certificate, diploma or Degree
• Registered teacher with TSC.
• At least 3-5 year relevant working experience
