    Director of Protocal and Events

    Duties and Responsibilities: 

    • The job holder will be responsible for managing and overseeing protocol processes, procedures, 
    • standards and guidelines within the Office of the governor.
    • Implementing Office of the governor protocol processes, procedures, standards and guidelines
    • Planning and organizing of incoming and outgoing Office of the governor visits; 
    • Maintaining contacts of local and foreign stakeholders;
    • Coordinating protocols of all VIP ceremonies, meetings and special events;
    • Organizing and coordinating of official events;
    • Coordinating processing of passports and other travel documents;
    • Receiving, accompanying and seeing off official delegations and Office of the governor guests;
    • Engaging with government officials and other stakeholders on events planning.
    • Preparing of periodic departmental reports

    Requirements for Appointment

    • Be a Kenyan citizen;
    • Be a holder of at least a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations, Diplomacy, Public Relations, project planning or any other relevant filed from a university recognized in Kenya;
    • Have relevant knowledge and experience of not less than five (5) years in a senior position in the Public Service or Private Sector in the portfolio applied for;

    Director – County Delivery Unit

    Duties and Responsibilities. 

    • Translate and monitor Governor’s commitments into action plans, budgets and timelines. 
    • Liaise with County line departments monitoring officials to keep track of the implementation and status of Governor’s priority projects. 
    • Solicit and analyze public opinions on priority projects to advise decision making processes for the county. 
    • Support line ministries to draw action plans and rapid result initiatives for priority projects. 
    • Implement and manage public participation and information system on development matters. 
    • Organize inter-ministerial field missions on key priority projects, identify bottlenecks and millstones to inform and advice the Governor’s office.

    Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the officer will deal with highly complex development activities and diverse socio-economic and political background. The officer will be responsible for the efficient management and co-ordination of county Government such as co-ordination of development activities, mobilization of resources for development; co-ordination of disaster management and emergency response activities; co-ordination and promotion of peace and
