    Billing Officer

    Role Description

    • We are seeking a professional, customer-focused, and detail-oriented Billing Officer to join our team. The Billing Officer will play an important role in ensuring that patients have a seamless experience from entry to exit by providing accurate information on services, pricing, and invoicing, while efficiently managing cash and insurance payments.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide patients with accurate and clear information regarding services, pricing, payments, and billing procedures.
    • Prepare and process accurate patient bills for diagnostic imaging services.
    • Ensure all services provided are correctly captured and billed.
    • Verify patient details, requested services, applicable charges and payment requirements before billing.
    • Receive and accurately process cash, card, mobile money, insurance, and other approved payments.
    • Process insurance payments and ensure required documentation is complete and accurate.
    • Issue accurate receipts and maintain proper payment documentation.
    • Respond professionally and promptly to patient billing and payment queries.
    • Assist with daily billing and payment reconciliations.
    • Identify and escalate billing errors, missing charges, payment discrepancies, and other issues.
    • Maintain accurate billing and payment records and ensure confidentiality of patient and financial information.
    • Provide a professional and courteous experience to patients throughout the billing process.
    • Adhere to Sonar Imaging Centre’s billing procedures, financial controls, and service standards.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Diploma in Health Records, or an equivalent qualification.
    • CPA Part II or equivalent accounting qualification is an added advantage.
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role within a healthcare environment.
    • Basic understanding of billing, financial transactions, and payment reconciliation.

    Receivables Accountant

    Role Description

    • We are looking for a highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented Receivables Accountant to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely management of accounts receivable, including reconciliations, receipt allocation, revenue recovery, and reporting. The successful candidate will work closely with the Credit Control Officer to ensure effective management and recovery of outstanding receivables.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts receivable records.
    • Perform revenue accounting and ensure accurate recording of receivable transactions.
    • Carry out cash, credit, and customer account reconciliations.
    • Allocate receipts accurately and ensure all payments are properly accounted for.
    • Monitor customer accounts and identify outstanding balances and discrepancies.
    • Support revenue recovery and follow up on outstanding receivables.
    • Investigate and resolve account discrepancies in a timely manner.
    • Prepare receivables reports, ageing analysis, reconciliations, and other financial reports as required.
    • Work closely with the Credit Control Officer to support effective management and recovery of outstanding receivables.
    • Maintain accurate documentation and audit trails for receivable transactions.
    • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, internal controls, and organizational financial policies.
    • Liaise with relevant internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve account and payment issues.
    • Identify risks, irregularities, and exceptions within the receivables process and escalate them appropriately.
    • Support month-end and other financial reporting processes relating to receivables.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent qualification.
    • Minimum CPA part 4 professional certification
    • ⁠Data analytics is an added advantage.
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
    • Experience in a healthcare environment is an added advantage.

    Sonographer

    Role Description

    • We are seeking a skilled, professional, and patient-focused Sonographer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for independently performing ultrasound examinations, ensuring accurate diagnostic imaging, and maintaining a high standard of patient care throughout the imaging process.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Independently perform ultrasound examinations in accordance with established clinical and professional standards.
    • Operate ultrasound equipment effectively to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
    • Ensure patient comfort, safety, privacy, and appropriate positioning throughout examinations.
    • Obtain accurate and diagnostically useful images for interpretation by the radiologist or relevant clinician.
    • Review examination requests and relevant clinical information before performing procedures.
    • Explain ultrasound procedures clearly to patients and provide appropriate guidance and reassurance.
    • Maintain accurate patient and examination records.
    • Work collaboratively with radiologists, clinicians, and other members of the imaging team.
    • Ensure ultrasound equipment is used appropriately and report any technical faults or issues promptly.
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional imaging environment.
    • Adhere to applicable clinical, professional, infection prevention, and patient safety standards.
    • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and maintain consistently high standards of diagnostic imaging.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Radiography or an equivalent qualification.
    • Relevant professional registration/licensing as required.
    • Minimum 4 years’ experience working in a busy diagnostic imaging environment.
