    Factory Mechanical Engineer

    The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the mechanical integrity of the plant, ensuring minimal downtime, and supporting operational efficiency.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform routine, preventive, and breakdown maintenance on mechanical equipment throughout the fertilizer plant.
    • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in mills, gearboxes, drives, conveyors, pumps, and other rotating or static equipment.
    • Draft, interpret, and modify mechanical drawings using AutoCAD or SolidWorks for installations, retrofits, and process improvements.
    • Monitor and document equipment performance, maintaining comprehensive maintenance logs and reports.
    • Lead or support the installation, commissioning, and modification of new mechanical systems and equipment.
    • Coordinate with electrical and instrumentation teams to ensure cross-functional maintenance execution.
    • Adhere to and enforce occupational health and safety standards during all mechanical interventions.
    • Assist in planning and managing the mechanical spare parts inventory.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing equipment downtime and increasing plant efficiency.

    Qualifications:

    • Diploma in Mechanical or a related field.
    • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, troubleshooting techniques, and preventive maintenance practices.
    • Familiarity with safety regulations and maintenance best practices.
    • Ability to work in a remote location and manage on-site maintenance teams.

    Executive Assistant – Nanyuki

    This role will provide comprehensive support to the CEO, Board of Directors, and Executive Team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong critical thinking skills, anticipate needs, and offer effective solutions while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide daily administrative and logistical support to the CEO, including travel and accommodation arrangements (local and international), meeting coordination, calendar management, document filing and retrieval, and preparing materials for board and executive presentations.
    • Serve as the main point of contact between the CEO and internal teams, board members, major donors, and partners — ensuring timely scheduling, minute-taking, and follow-up on action items.

    IT & Digital Marketing Intern

    Responsibilities include, analysing & improving SEO rankings, creating social media campaigns, technical support to end users through troubleshooting and overseeing the company’s database and overall IT infrastructure.

    Key Requirements:

    Group Tax Manager

    This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with both local and international tax regulations, optimizing tax strategies, managing tax risks, and supporting business growth from a tax perspective. The ideal candidate must have over 10 years of experience in tax management.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and manage all direct and indirect tax matters for the group, including corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, transfer pricing, and customs duties.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations across jurisdictions in which the group operates (Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania).
    • Review and file tax returns, including consolidated group filings where applicable.
    • Oversee tax accounting and reporting, including deferred taxes, tax provisions, and disclosures in financial statements.
    • Manage tax audits and liaise with tax authorities and external consultants and develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize the group’s tax position.
    • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the business.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, legal, operations) on tax-related matters in projects.
    • Provide support to subsidiaries when dealing with revenue authorities on all matters relating to taxation.
    • Responsible for the tax side of budgets and forecasts.
    • Optimization of group and subsidiary taxation expenses by identifying areas of tax savings.
    • Review and oversee routine monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reconciliations across the group.
    • Conduct periodic internal tax health checks to proactively identify risks and ensure full compliance.
    • Liaise with and coordinate external tax advisors and consultants to ensure high-quality tax planning, compliance, and audit support.
    • Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls and governance around tax processes and documentation.
    • Ensure accuracy and completeness of tax-related disclosures and provisions in management accounts and audited financial statements.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Must be CPA (K) or ACCA finalist
    • Post Graduate Diploma in Tax Administration is an added advantage
    • Minimum of 8 –10 years of experience in taxation, with at least 3 years in a managerial or group-level role.
    • Strong knowledge of international tax laws, transfer pricing, and tax treaties.
    • Proactive, self-motivated professional with a hands-on approach and a willingness to roll up their sleeves to get the job done.
    • Strategic thinking with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and Strong leadership skills.

    Senior Internal Auditor

    The ideal candidate will have a solid background in risk management, internal controls, and compliance within dynamic, fast-paced environments.  They should demonstrate a proven ability to conduct comprehensive audits, identify control weaknesses, and recommend practical solutions to enhance operational efficiency and ensure regulatory compliance. The role requires strong analytical skills, high integrity, and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in an audit role.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate periodic enterprise-wide and process-level risk assessments, identifying risks and control gaps, and updating risk registers accordingly. Adjust the audit plan as needed to address emerging or shifting risk areas.
    • Design and execute dynamic, risk-based audit plans and advisory reviews focused on high-risk areas across the Group. This includes understanding business processes and systems, conducting interviews and walkthroughs, and performing audit procedures to evaluate operational efficiency and control effectiveness.
    • Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and report on closure status. Track and follow up on issues identified through internal audits, external audits, tax inspections, or other assurance providers.
    • Develop and maintain detailed documentation of business and financial processes, including process flowcharts, narratives, risk and control matrices, segregation of duties matrices, and other required records.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulatory requirements, staying up to date with applicable legislation and statutory obligations affecting the Group.
    • Foster strong, trust-based working relationships with stakeholders and business partners across the organization.

    Qualifications

    • A bachelor’s or a Post-graduate Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
    • Professional qualification e.g., CPA(K), ACCA, CISA. CFA, CIA or equivalent.
    • 10 years’ experience in an Internal Audit
    • Track record of performing work independently with minimal supervision and meeting stretch timelines; comfortable to deal with ambiguity and solve problems.
    • Specialized skills in IT audit, or data analytics audit experience would be an advantage.
    • Willingness to travel across East Africa. Initial years may involve up to 50% expected travel time.
    • Proactive, self-motivated professional with a hands-on approach and a willingness to roll up their sleeves to get the job done.
    • Good understanding of the end-to-end audit process, including risk-based approach.
    • Familiarity with fraud risk indicators and investigation techniques.
