    Roving Nurse

    Main tasks and responsibilities

    • Nursing services for all Key Population Programs
    • Pharmacy Supplies Management
    • Ensure consistent availability of essential medicines, and medical supplies.
    • Conduct regular stock inventories to minimize wastage and prevent shortages.
    • Oversee proper storage, handling, and dispensing of medication in adherence to health regulations.
    • Family Planning Services
    • Provide counseling and education on various contraceptive options.
    • Facilitate access to family planning services, including distribution of contraceptives.
    • Monitor patient adherence, side effects, and provide alternative recommendations as necessary.
    • Hepatitis and STI Awareness & Prevention and treatment.
    • Lead hepatitis awareness campaigns within the drop-in center and surrounding communities.
    • Organize and implement hepatitis screening programs for at-risk individuals.
    • Promote vaccination initiatives and ensure accessibility to hepatitis vaccines.

    • HIV Prevention & Education
    • Promote and distribute preventive tools such as condoms and lubricants.

    • Work closely with field teams to strengthen HIV education and awareness efforts.
    • Team Support & Capacity Building
    • Facilitate team coordination to enhance service delivery efficiency with the DICE.
    • Offer emotional and professional support to ensure a motivated workforce.
    • Act as a bridge between management and field teams, ensuring smooth communication.
    • Quality Assurance & Timely Reporting
    • Monitor and evaluate service delivery to maintain high standards of patient care.
    • Ensure accurate documentation of cases, interventions, and reports.
    • Recommend operational improvements based on data driven
    • Maintenance of IPC and universal standard precautions in DIC and community activities.
    • Identification of GBV survivors and direct provision of the medical treatments.

    • HTS Counselling Training as per National Guidelines on HTS
    • 3 Years working experience in provision of clinical services

    Health Information Technician (Data Clerk)

    Main tasks and responsibilities

    • Provide monitoring support, data entry and cleaning at the Dice.
    • Timely input of data into the electronic medical record (EMR) and any other project database, identification of any issues with the EMR/databases and implementing the necessary corrective action after consulting with the supervisor
    • Ensure routine, database backup and storage, security, data cleaning, as per ICRHK policies
    • Maintaining the patients’ filling system at the DICE while ensuring confidentiality of information as well as retrieving patient’s files as per ICRHK Policies
    • Assist in managing appointments, monitoring defaulters, and retrieving necessary line lists to facilitate follow-up
    • Maintaining and updating MoH and program registers
    • Take lead in compiling MoH and program reports at the DICE level and promptly uploading completed reports to the necessary platforms.
    • Support data utilization at DICE level by updating progress charts for the Key Performance Indicators,
    • Trend analysis, achievement against targets and presenting this during site data review meetings
    • Participating in work planning at DICE level and suggest tactics to employ in order to reach predetermine goals
    • Assist and participate in DQA at the DICE to ensure data quality and participate in sub county data review meetings.
    • Take part in any additional project documentation process, such as updating CQI dashboard, assisting
    • Peer Educators in utilization of KP Module and making sure the KP Cohort register is kept up to date.
    • Take part in CME, OJT, or other appropriate capacity development

    Skills Required

    • Diploma in Information Technology, Health Records and Information, statistics or equivalent.
    • Experience in Key Population and HIV data management an added advantage.
    • Experience in using Kenya EMR as POC an added advantage
    • Understanding of public health/medical or social sciences field an asset

    HTS Provider

    Main tasks and responsibilities

    • Create awareness and provide education about HIV testing services.
    • Lead in the mobilization of clients for HIV testing.
    • Provides pre and post-test HIV counseling to all patients willing to have the HIV test done ensuring
    • clients understand prevention methods and other relevant issues.
    • Provide confidential HIV testing to clients as per the national HTS guidelines.
    • Encourages and supports patients that test positive; helping them to cope with the new diagnosis.
    • Provide ongoing counseling and make relevant referrals for ongoing support.
    • Documenting the appropriate MOH tools for HTS and maintaining accurate HTS records including referrals and reports on referral outcomes.
    • Compile and submit HTS reports monthly and correctly document generated data in the approved data tools as required by NASCOP and Stawisha Pwani Program.
    • Acts as (by facilitating) a linkage between HIV diagnosis, care, support, and treatment.
    • Timely request for all necessary consumables for undertaking HTS activities.
    • Participates in HTS QA activities like proficiency testing, counseling supervision, and quality control measures like batch testing of rapid test kits.
    • Ensures HTS optimization in the Dic.
    • Provide assisted Partner Notifications Services to partners of the people living with HIV while protecting their rights and observing professional ethics.
    • Screening and identifying clients eligible for PrEP, and offering appropriate referrals
    • Work as a team in supporting fellow counselors through peer support supervision.
    • Refer and link negative clients to preventive services and positive clients to care and treatment services.
    • Ensure there are appropriate IEC materials, job aids, and SOPs necessary for HTS in the testing sites.
    • Carry out adherence counseling to clients.
    • Support case management duties through collaborative coordination with other health service providers to ensure optimal service delivery to clients and client retention to care
    • Ensure the maintenance of appropriate, accurate, and clear documentation of all outreaches, education, case management, and group activities – report writing.
    • Actively participate in training, ongoing skills enhancement training, and network meetings.

    Skills Required

    • Post-Secondary Education Certificate
    • NASCOP HTS Certificate
    • Certificate in Counseling
    • Experience in HIV/AIDS related work/programs in community setup
    • Computer literacy – MS Office Suite (Word, Excel)
