Openings at AIC Kijabe Hospital

Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Maternity, the holder of the position will be expected to glorify God by ensuring newborn babies admitted in New Born Unit go home normal and healthy.

Applicants Qualifications, Experience, Competencies and Attributes

• Kenya Registered Community Health Nurse (KRCHN) or Kenya Registered Nurse (KRN) or Kenya Registered Nurse Midwife (KRNM) or Kenya Registered Neonatal Nurse ( KRNeoN)
• Registration with the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK)
• Valid Nursing practicing license
• Minimum four (4) years’ relevant experience
• Must demonstrate ability to work independently with minimum supervision
• Must have ability to plan, organize, implement and evaluate departmental goals
• Must be capable of functioning effectively both as a team player and team leader
• Must demonstrate commitment to operational effectiveness
• Must have ability to accurately plan work assignments, prioritize tasks and deliver deadlines
• Should have effective people management and conflict resolution skills
• Must have knowledge in use of MS office packages

Reporting to the Manager, Inpatient Services, the holder of the position will be expected to glorify God by overseeing the operational activities carried out in the Paediatric Services Unit and ensure provision of high quality patient care in the respective specialty to patients. Collaborates and works effectively with other providers and staff to provide effective team based medical care.

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or any relevant Nursing field
• Kenya Registered Community Health Nurse (KRCHN)
• Registration with the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK)
• Kenya Registered Paediatric Nurse ( KRPaedN)
• Valid Nursing practicing license
• A minimum of four (4) years’ experience in nursing 2 of which should be at a management level

• Should demonstrate ability to identify and respond to risk areas within the department
• Should have effective people management and conflict resolution skills

Theatre Manager

Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the holder of the position will be expected to glorify God by overseeing the operational activities carried out in the theatre and ensure adequate supplies, good state of rooms and maintenance of higher standards of patient care in a suitable and safe environment.

Applicants Qualifications, Experience, Competencies and Attributes

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Health Systems or any relevant clinical field
• Registration with the regulatory body where applicable
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience, 2 of which should be at management level preferably in a health facility
• Must have demonstrated ability to handle departmental budgets, resources, processes, projects and relationships
• Must have ability to plan, organize, implement and evaluate departmental goals
