Brief Description        

To ensure aircraft performance data meet company and regulatory requirements.

Detailed Description        

• Analyse, prepare and convey accurate take-off, Enroute and landing performance data.
• Monitor, analyze, and provide accurate airfield data (both electronic and paper) for safe, efficient, and economical operation of flights.
• Evaluate and advice the company on aircraft performance capabilities to support solid business decisions on charter, purchases, and leases.
• Collect, analyze, and monitor aircraft performance data to determine engine degradation factors, and derates for safe and efficient flight planning.
• Develop aircraft technical procedures e.g., Climb out procedures, arrival, and departure procedures drift down procedures. and efficient flight planning profiles
• Updating flight planning databases with the current aircraft performance data and climb schedules.
• Conduct Safety, security and Operational audits, inspections and survey of destinations aerodromes, alternates aerodromes, routes, flight operations operational systems, infrastructure, and procedures so as to maintain corporate quality.
• Conduct flight risk analysis for new and current destinations and alternates.
• Ensure implementation of safety, security, and emergency standards always.
• Ensure and maintain a healthy, safe, and secure working environment in compliance with the relevant industry, regulatory and legislative requirements, company procedures, regulatory authorities, and requirements of customer airlines.

Job Requirements        

• Bachelor’s degree in the following Engineering courses – Mechanical, Electrical, Communications, Computer.

OR

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics (Statistics option will be an added advantage) or Physics.
• Aircraft Performance Specific Certificate, Aircraft Performance Software Certificate and Diploma in IT are desirable.

Brief Description        

To monitor, analyze and provide route analysis for optimization of all Kenya Airways operations.

Detailed Description        

• Provide payload and block time analysis for optimization to ensure economical and cost-effective operations and future growth of Kenya Airways
• Ensure the flight planning database is updated with the current fuel policy, fuel prices, time related costs, taxi times and routes according to permit restrictions for the entire route network.
• Process and obtain timely over flight and landing permits/ clearances for scheduled and non-scheduled flights so as to legally operate within regulations of the concerned states.
• Process and obtain foreign Operations Specifications.
• Conduct Safety security and Operational audits, inspections and survey of destinations, alternates, and routes flight operations operational systems, infrastructure, and procedures to maintain corporate quality.
• Ensure implementation of safety, security, and emergency standards always.
• Ensure and maintain a healthy, safe, and secure working environment in compliance with the relevant industry, regulatory and legislative requirements, company procedures, regulatory authorities, and requirements of customer airlines.

Job Requirements        
Bachelor’s degree in the following Engineering courses – Mechanical, Electrical, Communications, Computer.

OR

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics or physics

OR

• Bachelor of Business Management (Aviation Option) and a Certificate in Dispatch

OR

• CPL/ATC/Flight Dispatch with at least 3 years relevant experience.
• Aircraft Performance Specific Certificate, Aircraft Performance Software Certificate and Diploma in IT are desirable.
