    QC Microbiologist

    Key Purpose Statement

    The role is responsible for all Microbiological sampling and testing as per KORE and regulatory standards.  It is also responsible for plant GMP monitoring, plant CIP and sanitation review

    Key Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Ensure micro testing compliance to all KORE and EAS standards
    • Drive in spec compliance at all sampling points and corrective actions in case of out of specs
    • Communicate micro performance to all stakeholders and ensure ownership by process owners (Team Leader)
    • Supervise CIP and cleaning & sanitation activities to ensure effectiveness including confirmation of CIP chemicals concentration and carryover tests
    • Ensure 100% execution and completion of all cleaning material and/or equipment validation including effective documentation of the process
    • Review external tests request as per KORE, EAS and in line with internal micro & physiochemical testing
    • Drive adherence to GMP & Safety practices at the laundry and washrooms

    Skills, Experience & Education    

    Experience

    • Minimum 3 years in similar role or a QA/QC role
    • Minimum 2 years in an FMCG, bottling or Food processing plant

    Education

    • Degree or Diploma in Food Science & Technology, Microbiology, Analytical Chemistry or any other relevant Manufacturing/Industrial Science course

    Key Purpose Statement

    To manage and develop relationships with existing and potential events’ organisers through well executed Events and Timely Deliveries

    Key Duties & Responsibilities    

    Strategic

    • Generate innovative ideas to develop winning strategic/activities for NARTD growth and fight against competition.
    • Lead coordination of consumer experiential activations in the scope of all types of national promotions from bundling, redemption and others including the strategic experiential sampling that drives recruitment and trial creating new brand affinity (awareness) events marketing to drive brand saliency and conversation.

    Operational.

    • Development of experimental marketing activities and execution of tailor made promotions/ solutions for CCBA – Kenya
    • Develop product talk and awareness campaigns based on plans.
    • Ensure safe operations of all activities, legal and KO compliance and standards maintained through the activations.
    • Asset/RIG Management
    • Ensure Brand Visibility on Events and Full Implementation of Picture of Success.

    Skills, Experience & Education    

    • A minimum of a Diploma in Sales & Marketing or Public Relations;
    • Degree in a Business related field or Public Relations will be an added advantage.
    • At least 2 years experience in the management of roadshows either as an MC or an Events coordinator.

    Process Artisan

    Key Duties & Responsibilities    

    Operational Support

    • Provide support to the shift-based teams during operations.
    • Attend meetings and ensures that the previous days actions have been actioned
    • Assist shift based teams with situational problem solving.
    • Coach the shift based teams on machine operation, machine fault finding and correct responses to machine failure modes.
    • Provide coaching, mentoring and knowledge transfer of machine operation and maintenance to shift based teams.
    • Review SICs and address deviations regularly
    • Development of work instructions related to equipment.
    • Monitor and manage performance of equipment.
    • Verify and ensure that machines are running at rated speed and report any food safety problems that may be noticed during operations
    • Prepare and communicate shift handover reports to ensure production continuity
    • Participate in Technical meetings and escalate issues that could not be resolved during the shift and follows up to ensure gap closure
    • Ability to stand in for the Production Team Leader where required
    • Ability to work shifts

    Planned Maintenance

    • Carry out work during the planned maintenance window in accordance with the planned maintenance schedule issued by the Planner.
    • Where scheduled work cannot be completed, feed back to the Maintenance Planner for direction. This may involve rescheduling the work or prioritising outstanding work.
    • Assist fellow team members in the execution of their tasks during planned maintenance windows.
    • Where required, partake in maintenance post mortems to feedback problems, opportunities and learnings from maintenance activities.
    • Optimisation of maintenance schedules
    • Coach or train Operators on autonomous maintenance tasks
    • Review Line KPIs to ensure that maintenance work is yielding the right results.

    Routine Maintenance

    • Partake in cleaning, lubrication and inspection in accordance with the maintenance schedule issued by the Maintenance Planner.
    • Carry out routine maintenance activities in accordance with the maintenance schedule.
    • Where problems have been uncovered during routine maintenance, these must be resolved using the appropriate problem solving techniques
    • Where problems have been uncovered, and it is required to include the work in the planned maintenance schedule, this must be communicated to the maintenance planner.

    Running Repairs

    • Carry out running repairs on plant and equipment
    • When carrying out repairs, assess the problem and determine a course of action.
    • Where running repairs cannot be carried out, communicates this to the Team Leader or Maintenance Planner to ensure the work is planned into the next planned maintenance window.

    Problem Solving

    • Apply the correct problem solving methodologies to resolve problems
    • Assist or coach Operators on situational problem solving
    • Solicit support for problems solving or escalate to the Team for direction.
    • Where required, partake in systemic problem solving.

    Housekeeping and safety

    • Work in a safe manner at all times, and to identify and highlight unsafe work practices so that these may be corrected.
    • Adhere to appropriate CCBA policies and procedures.
    • Carry out housekeeping tasks, and apply 5S principles during the execution of duties

    Support NPD implementation and trials:

    • Support NPD trials to be able to run on assets
    • Ensure adherence to NPD procedures
    • Ensure all changes on assets are well documented as per the Engineering Change Management business processes
    • Training and Development
    • Train and coach Operators on asset care and autonomous maintenance practices
    • Where required sign off Operators on autonomous maintenance tasks
    • Development of operational and technical standards and work instructions

    Skills, Experience & Education    

    Qualifications.

    • Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical,Mechatronics, Control and Instrumentation or Engineering related fields.
