    Quality Assurance Team Leader

    The Quality Assurance Team Leader at Kenafric Industries Limited will oversee the QA team in ensuring product quality, safety, and compliance with internal and external standards. The role involves the implementation of quality management systems, adherence to ISO and HACCP guidelines, and leading continuous improvement efforts in quality processes

    Responsibilities

    • Lead the QA team in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance protocols and procedures in line with ISO 9001, 14001, 22000, and 45001 standards.
    • Conduct risk analysis using HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP methodologies to identify and mitigate potential quality threats.
    • Monitor the quality of raw materials and finished products by overseeing rigorous inspection and testing routines.
    • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and training of staff on quality systems and compliance. Manage and resolve quality-related customer complaints and non-conformances, ensuring rigorous root cause analysis and corrective actions. Compile and present quality reports to senior management, highlighting areas of success and those requiring improvement. Train, mentor, and evaluate QA team members to ensure a highly skilled and knowledgeable workforce

    Qualifications

    • A degree in Food Science, Biotechnology, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field.
    • Professional qualifications and training in ISO 9001, 14001, 22000, 45001, HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP.
    • Proven experience in a QA leadership role, preferably within the food or related industry.
    • Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant quality management software.
    • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with attention to detail.

    • Proven leadership in QA teams within food or related manufacturing industries.
    • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, 22000, 45001, HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP standards.
    • Expertise in quality management, risk analysis, audits, and corrective actions.

    Process Quality Inspector

    Responsibilities

    • Implementing the departmental strategy in line with the production strategy, policies, processes and procedures to achieve the organization's objectives.
    • Monitoring the process to ensure product conforms to set parameters.
    • Knowledge of HACCP and food safety systems.
    • Maintaining records of quality checks through updating of checklists on hourly basis.
    • Guiding workers on quality parameters as per standard operating procedures.
    • Reporting to Quality Assurance team and production teams in case of product variance.
    • Implementing best practices in production & respective areas of work work.
    • Implementing product quality, customer & Service Excellence and Change initiatives to achieve desired business plans and culture.
    • Ensuring processes within operations are meeting the set standards.
    • Rejecting and removing non-conformities from the process.
    • Analyzing root causes for non-conformities by using the 5 why tool. Ensuring all In Process Inspection SOPS and Work Instructions are current and followed.
    • Conducts root cause analysis on day-to-day issues faced in processes as well as raw material and packing material.
    • Observe and reinforces safety procedures e.g., use of appropriate PPE and occupational health and safety requirements including factory guidelines.
    • Able to analyze the Quality data and prepare the quality report on a weekly basis. 15. Creates rapport with colleagues and communicates the results of lab tests and analysis in a timely manner.

    Qualifications

    • Diploma/ Degree in food Science/ Biochemistry/Chemistry/Physical Chemistry/ Industrial Chemistry.
