    Retail Operations Supervisor

    Your Role

    As Retail Operations Supervisor, you will oversee the execution of strategies aimed at achieving our set departmental targets and improve performance in the areas of operational efficiency and quality while ensuring compliance to safety objectives are met. You will be manage multiple employees functions that cut across warehousing, distribution, and quality assurance.

    What You Will Do

    1. Supply & Demand Forecasting: Execution of the demand forecast plan for both club shops and main distribution warehouse to ensure appropriate levels of stock availability, network-wide
    2. Distribution Planning: manage the planning and execution of last-mile distribution to KOKO club Agents, with a focus on minimizing operating costs, stock losses, stock quality issues, and shop stock-outs
    3. Inventory Management: oversee end-to-end in-country supply chain from supplier to warehouses/hubs to KOKO Agents and ensure visibility and accuracy of stock data
    4. Partner Management: own and oversee the relationship with our third-party logistics partners
    5. Foster an environment of continuous improvement that meets or exceeds division expectations
    6. Establish clear performance and behavioral expectations for all direct reports
    7. Develop team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals

    Who You Are

    1. 4+ years of work experience in supply chain management, warehousing, or logistics
    2. 2+ years of management experience
    3. Degree in Procurement/Supply Chain or related field from an accredited institution required
    4. Strong computer skills/Information Technology certification would be an added advantage
    5. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or Google Suite
    6. Ability to work autonomously and think on your feet
    7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    Hardware Support Engineer

    1. As a Hardware support engineer, you will support the Tier 1 + 2 hardware field system support functions (service desk + field technicians) with engineering expertise and work closely with Hardware Design Engineers to ensure the reliability of our hardware systems in the field. 
    2. What you will do
    3. Support Tier 1 field system support (NOC) with analysis and resolution of issues within SLA.
    4. Support Tier 2 field system support (field technicians) with analysis of issues
    5. Build tools and processes for Tier 1+ Tier 2 field system support functions
    6. Train Tier 1 + Tier 2 field system support on relevant tools and processes
    7. Design pro-active field maintenance processes and tools

    10. Collect information to support calculation of meaningful  metrics that help understand the health status of our systems

    12. Offer support to any other engineering tasks as assigned by the line manager

    What you will bring to KOKO

    Driver, Mombasa

    Your Role

    As a driver, you will be responsible for loading, transporting, and delivering items and staff  to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner by providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients. You will be expected to adhere to assigned routes and follow schedules.

    What you Will Do

    1. To conduct inspection of vehicles before departing to deliver goods
    2. Pack and load products according to company specifications and load manifest
    3. Deliver orders safely to customers on assigned routes
    4. Maintain ongoing communication with fleet supervisors, agents, and the dispatch team
    5. Unload accurately as per client specifications

    Software Engineering Manager

    Your Role

    As KOKO grows within and outside Kenya, our team is looking for an Engineering Manager to build and manage part of our growing team of engineers, be responsible for ensuring high standards are maintained and projects are successfully executed.  As such you will play a key role in enabling KOKO’s long term success, including our expansion beyond Nairobi and Kenya. This is a very visible leadership position in which you should be able to influence the decisions of your team without having to make all of them.

    In this position, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute and add value across KOKO's entire product suite, through individual contribution, and equally importantly through bringing strong leadership to a group of software engineers. In this role, you should be a "player and coach" - excited about managing and coaching software engineers, as well as contributing, hands-on.

    KOKO’s suite of products spans multiple technical domains and disciplines in software and hardware, and so experience in end-to-end systems thinking across distributed components is key.

    What you will do

    1. You will recruit, manage and provide technical mentorship to engineers through active coaching and setting measurable goals that help them grow and create maximum impact for KOKO.
    2. You will build the engineering culture at KOKO, ensuring it is positioned to attract similar minded people with a passion for using technology to tackle some of the hardest challenges.
    3. You will work closely with Product and Engineering leaders to contribute to the most valuable areas of technical decision making, advancing key initiatives and reducing risk on critical projects.
    4. You will ensure the use of best practices including code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD across teams and projects, and help others to improve the quality of their work.
    5. You will serve as a technical authority and represent the full internal and external capabilities of our platforms within and outside the Product and Engineering teams
    6. You will review technical designs, and ensure they will be scalable and robust.

    What You Will Bring to KOKO

    1. Three or more years of experience directly managing software engineers and 8+ years of experience in software engineering overall.
    2. Strong track record leading, developing, and delivering significant software projects
    3. Significant experience in the following areas: enterprise application and service based architectures, software design patterns, messaging protocols, cyber security, distributed application development, modern front-end design, highly scalable data architectures.
    4. Well developed skills in designing for testability, reliability, security and maintainability.
    5. Evangelist for Agile practices, able to work closely with product leaders to support engineering team members in delivering in an agile manner to achieve key goals.
    6. Strong communicator, both written and verbal, who is calm and decisive under pressure.
    7. Empathy for your colleagues, encouraging team members to think creatively while knowing where to intervene to tackle tough problems and navigate conflicts.

    We are looking for a highly technical leader with significant experience in scaling and maintaining complex, mission critical systems, and making key architectural decisions along the way.  You should be comfortable leading and coaching in a remote environment, building rapport across the team, doing what’s necessary to ensure KOKO’s products always deliver.

    MicroTanker Operator, Mombasa


    Your Role
    As a Micro Tanker Operator, you will help KOKO meet our growing customer requirements by driving our Micro Tanker and managing safe delivery of ethanol cooking fuel to retail locations across Nairobi. 

    What You Will Do

    1. Work closely with Micro Tanker Assistant to complete daily fuel distribution tasks on-time and in-full
    2. Ensure safe delivery of ethanol to agent locations using the KOKO Networks fuel delivery system
    3. Conduct daily sampling of ethanol before delivery as per instructions from the Quality Supervisor
    4. Perform minor maintenance on KOKO systems as instructed by the Field Operations team
    5. Identify and report field hardware and software issues to ensure timely resolution
    6. Assess risk of delivery locations and take preventive action to correct any safety risks 

    What You Will Bring to KOKO

    1. KCSE certificate
    2. 3+ years of driving experience of medium or large cargo trucks with strong knowledge of Nairobi and its environs
    3. Defensive driving, First Aid and safety certifications will be an added advantage
    4. Certificate of Good conduct
    5. Experience in vehicle mechanicals
    6. Good communication and problem solving skills
    7. Ability to adapt to new technology
