Purpose of the Role
- The Sales Operations Officer is responsible for coordinating and supporting sales operations across all regions to ensure efficient execution of the company's sales processes.
- The role serves as the operational link between the Sales Team, Marketing, Partnerships, Finance, Customer Support, and Operations to ensure leads are effectively managed, customer approvals are processed on time, sales documentation is accurate, and sales teams receive the operational support required to achieve business targets.
- The role is also responsible for strengthening sales excellence through effective CRM management, performance monitoring, process compliance, sales administration, and continuous improvement of sales operations.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Operations Coordination
- Coordinate and support daily sales operations across all regions.
- Work closely with Area Sales Managers to ensure sales activities are planned and executed to company standards.
- Track sales opportunities from lead generation through approval, installation, and payment.
- Coordinate the preparation and management of sales worksheets, trackers, and operational records.
- Ensure sales documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
Lead & CRM Management
- Receive and manage inbound sales enquiries from telephone, website, referrals, and social media platforms.
- Conduct initial customer engagement to qualify marketing-generated leads before assigning them to Sales Representatives.
- Ensure all leads are accurately captured, updated, and managed within the CRM system.
- Monitor lead response times, follow-up activities, and lead conversion performance.
- Maintain high standards of CRM data quality and promote compliance with CRM processes across the sales team.
Partnership & Customer Coordination
- Coordinate with financing and strategic partners to facilitate timely customer approvals.
- Monitor approval status and ensure prompt communication of approvals, rejections, and outstanding requirements to the sales team.
- Coordinate with Customer Support, Finance, and Operations to ensure a smooth customer journey from sale to installation.
Sales Performance & Reporting
- Monitor sales team productivity, activity levels, and pipeline performance.
- Prepare accurate daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports, dashboards, forecasts, and performance analysis.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions to improve efficiency and sales performance.
- Support management with accurate sales data for planning and decision-making.
Sales Enablement
- Coordinate onboarding of new Sales Representatives, including orientation, systems access, and sales tools.
- Organize sales training, refresher sessions, and product knowledge programs in collaboration with Area Sales Managers and other departments.
- Manage the distribution and availability of sales collateral, price lists, product information, promotional materials, and sales tools to ensure field teams are adequately equipped. Sales Process Improvement & Compliance
- Conduct periodic audits of CRM records, sales documentation, lead management, and sales processes to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Promote adherence to established sales procedures and operational policies.
- Support implementation of process improvements, digital tools, and automation initiatives to improve sales efficiency and customer experience.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of customer and sales information.

- Hands-on experience using CRM systems, Microsoft Excel, and sales reporting tools.
- Experience in agriculture, renewable energy, financial services, or FMCG will be an added advantage.
