    Sales Relationship Manager

    Brief Description

    Reporting to the Sector Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing Strategic Accounts (TML-Target Market List) within the Energy, Media, Technology and Security (EMST) vertical; to drive and achieve revenue targets through solution selling and segment propositions.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

    SALES ACQUISITION AND REVENUE GROWTH

    • Individual contributor in sales role responsible for delivering set revenue target.
    • Identify growth prospects (New/Up-sell/Cross-Sell) within the TML;
    • Drive identification and adoption of relevant segment propositions;
    • Device strategic plans for Relationship penetration and ensure implementation of tactical plans including opportunity pipeline management;
    • Proactive Relationship performance management and tracking;
    • Position new Solution offerings and acquire Sales within EMST TML; through acquisition and penetration;
    • Provide thought leadership and Insights from customer engagements within the EMST Vertical.

    RELATIONSHIP & BASELINE RETENTION

    • Develop and execute customer ring fencing strategies in EMST Vertical;
    • Stimulate existing prepositions within EMST Vertical;
    • Develop strong relationships at CXO level in government and wider Buying Centers to understand mid-to-long term EMST objectives;
    • Churn Management in EMST Vertical;
    • Contract Management: Follow up on all existing contracts & renewal;
    • Provide insight into the refinement of customer journey processes;
    • Timely response to customer correspondence (not later than 24 Hrs.);
    • Flag potential escalations timeously.

    SALES ACCOUNT DEVELOPMENT PLANNING

    • Formulate and manage customer relationship through up-to-date Account Development Plans, opportunity road maps, pipeline management and the entire sales cycle plan;
    • Leverage company assets (events & activities) to nature relationship with key stakeholders (CXO & Buying Centre).

    REPORTING

    • Manage reporting cycles (daily, weekly, and monthly).
    • Strict adherence on use of CRM (SFA) systems for progressing customer orders and reporting.
    • Timely circulation of customer meeting minutes (Not later than 24 Hrs.)

    NPS - Manage customer relationships to drive Net Promoter Score by:

    • Maintaining strong and deep relationships with accounts under direct management;
    • Follow through on all customer issues until closure;
    • Maintaining communication with the customer throughout the entire customer journey.

    Job Requirements

    • Degree in Commerce/ ICT or a business related;
    • Work experience of 4-5 years managing enterprise customers in a B2G or B2B environment, preferably in an ISP;

    • Strong relationship building skills, preferably from a major blue chip company;
    • Ability to deliver results and meet and surpass targets;
    • New business development skills.

    M-Pesa Africa: Local Acceptance Manager - Business Apps

    Role Description

    M-Pesa, is a pioneer and global market leader in mobile money. From starting in 2007 as a convenient means by which the unbanked and underbanked can send money digitally, M-Pesa has now grown to offer millions of customers financial services, enterprise, merchant, and retail solutions.     M-Pesa is now making strides to strengthen its offering to businesses in our operating countries, making it easier for them to get onboarded and to accept M-Pesa payments across channels, including in-store payments, online payments, and payments through social media.

    In your role, you will be driving M-Pesa’s “local payments acceptance” strategy and products. Your responsibilities will centre on driving the strategy and the solutions to support the acquisition and onboarding of businesses across our 7 M-Pesa markets. This includes strategic tasks such as deep-diving into the competitive landscapes of each country and understanding the needs of businesses and consumers, as well as tactical tasks such as digitizing and streamlining the on-boarding process for merchants across our 7 markets and driving the development of acceptance methods for merchants.

    You are expected to work together with your commercial counterparts in each of the local M-Pesa markets. You are expected to share best practices, contribute to their strategies, and take responsibility for deliverables. You will also serve as the “linchpin” between the technical product teams and the commercial teams in the M-Pesa markets.

    You will play a pivotal role in enabling over 50m M-Pesa customers to pay for goods & services with M-Pesa, and growing our base of over 300k businesses that accept M-Pesa.

    What you will be executing

    Catalyze merchant growth in each market:

    • Co-create the business plans and drive advocacy with regional CEO for merchant acquisition and engagement budget, develop acceleration plans.
    • Trusted advisor to M-Pesa Heads: share pricing, product, and execution best practices from across the M-Pesa footprint.
    • Drive a level of rigor across markets in running the merchant business through monthly forums, ad-hoc workshops, etc.

    Develop and Own Local Acceptance Proposition and Roadmap:

    • Oversee digital self-onboarding and MSME online (payment links, shop front, QR, etc.) strategy and delivery.
    • Drive the thinking around the local developer community and create an ecosystem around open APIs and the business homepage.
    • Drive the merchant super app roadmap including prioritization and unblocking issues for the team of squads incl. POs, ensure co-creation with the SFC team.
    • Liaise with the financial services team to design and launch merchant credit, insurance, and savings solutions in-app.
    • Reimagine the business portal to cater to business (MSME to global corporate) needs, drive execution in partnership with the SFC team.
    • Create the merchant rewards strategy in partnership with loyalty colleagues and drive execution within the merchant product suite.
    • Drive multi-acceptance and POS strategy and execution for local businesses (MSME/gov/nat corporate).

    Develop and drive the Agent Proposition & Roadmap:

    • Reimagine the agent experience via the super-app channel.
    • Future-proofing of the agent business model through engagement and retention including e-commerce, financial services opportunities, and loyalty schemes.
    • Lead agent centred research and prototype with select agents.
    • Track emerging P2P float sharing and liquidity management models.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Apply if you have:

    • Bachelor’s degree is required, a master’s degree in a related field is preferred.
    • 7+ years of professional experience with at least 5 years in payments and/or mobile money/merchant acquiring.

    Manager - Metro Deployment

    Detailed Description

    Reporting to the Senior Manager – Fibre Planning & Design, the position holder takes the lead for deployment and management of all the fiber network to support both Internal and External Customers requirements

    Key Responsibilities

    • Coordinate field surveys to determine and define project baseline and schedule
    • Develop and enforce rollout processes to be followed by the contractors to ensure efficiency in delivery
    • Control quality and quantity of work performed to ensure high availability and resiliency

    Engineer - Fixed Technical Support(Customer Solutions)

    Detailed Description

    Reporting to the Manager – Fixed Customer Solutions: Technical Support, the position holder will provide support and maintenance of all passive and active components of FTTX network.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • To be a Single Point of Contact for Safaricom Fiber infrastructure Faults and Ensuring restorations are done to the original build specification;
    • Providing Excellent Customer Experience by scheduling visits to resolve service issues for FTTH customers and ensure the contractors adhere to stipulated code of conduct at customer premises;

    Job Qualifications

    • Knowledge of Data Center Management systems including, DCIM, BCMS, EnMS and accreditation e.g. AOS is an added advantage.

    Operational Excellence Analyst

    Detailed Description

    Reporting to the Manager – Operational Excellence, the position holder will be responsible for reporting on the performance on all the defined operational processes for Technology Departments and driving process compliance through engagements with the respective service owners.

    Responsibilities;

    • Engage the respective service owners to ensure excellence in operations and service delivery.
    • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports on the various domains as per the defined process categories and KPIs.
    • Ensure information is collected from the correct data sources.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Degree in IT or Computer Science or Telecommunications or Technical Related Field;
    • Experience in Data Analytics
    • Experience in SQL, Python scripting and Power BI
    • Experience in Process Governance especially using ITIL Framework.
    • Agile and Scrum certified
    • Attention to details and analytical thinking.
    • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
    • Certifications – ITIL Foundation; CCNA; ITIL Intermediate courses and Data Analytics are an added advantage. Professional presentation required.
