    Senior Property Control and Inventory Assistant

    Competencies

Successful passing of the Administrative Support Assessment Test (ASAT) in English at the United Nations Headquarters (UNHQ), Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), Economic and Social commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG), United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR) or International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) may be accepted in lieu of the GGST. The GGST is administered to applicants when required before the administration of a written assessment and/or interview.

    Work Experience

    • A minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in property management, logistics management, asset management, inventory control and management, supply chain management or related field is required.
    • Experience working with IPSAS, database administration, international operations and the UN enterprise resource planning system is required.
    • Experience working in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) (SAP/UMOJA), SAP Business Intelligence (BI), Power Bl is required.
    • Experience supporting more than one entity or multiple clients simultaneously is required.
    • Experience in property management performance monitoring and reporting is desirable.
    • Five (5) year or more of experience in data analytics or related area is desirable.

    Languages

    English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this position advertised, fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of another UN official language is desirable.

    • Experience in preparing notes, correspondence, presentations, and reports is desirable.
    • One (1) year or more of experience in data analytics or related area is desirable.

    Facilities Management Officer (Environmental/Sustainability Engineer)

    • Additional certification in sustainable energy engineering and or a renewable energy related field is desirable. Formal training in EMS and or ISO 14001:2015 is desirable.
    • Successful completion of both degree and non-degree programs in data analytics, business analytics or data science programs is an desirable.

    Work Experience

    • A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in environmental engineering, environmental management, environmental sustainability, electrical and mechanical engineering, or related field, is required.
    • Practical experience working as the principal responsible for planning, implementation, and delivery of environmental sustainability, infrastructure or engineering projects with a specific focus on the built environment, energy, water, wastewater and waste services, and transport sector is required.
    • Practical experience working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to provide technical expertise, best practice and deliver on environmental building or engineering solutions, is required.
    • Proficiency in use of REVIT, AutoCAD, or similar software is required.
    • Experience with planning, coordination, and implementation of an EMS and certification of the same according to international standards such as ISO 14001:2015, is desirable.
    • Practical experience with an environmentally certified building, or environmental performance assessment and rating tools, is desirable.
    • Experience in an international environment working on environmental outreach, is desirable.
    • 2 years or more of experience in data analytics or related area is desirable.

    Languages

    English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this post, fluency in written and oral English is required. Knowledge of other UN official languages is an advantage.
