To drive sales growth and customer satisfaction in UFCEA range of animal nutrition and health products by leveraging technical expertise to provide effective solutions, fostering strong client relationships, and achieving sales targets through strategic account management and new business development.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
New Business Development:
- Expectation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in animal nutrition products.
- Result Areas: Expand client base, increase market penetration, and secure new accounts.
Sales and Account Management:
- Expectation: Manage and grow sales with existing customers.
- Result Areas: Achieve sales targets, maintain high customer satisfaction, and develop long-term partnerships.
Technical Support and Consultation:
- Expectation: Provide technical advice and support to customers on animal nutrition solutions.
- Result Areas: Enhance product utilization, improve customer outcomes, and drive product preference.
Market Intelligence and Reporting:
- Expectation: Gather and analyze market data to inform sales strategies.
- Result Areas: Identify market trends, competitive insights, and opportunities for growth.
Continual Improvement Initiatives and Industry Representation:
- Expectation: Champion continual improvement initiatives within the organization, driving a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Engage key stakeholders in PaTaMu (Continual Improvement) initiatives, fostering collaboration and ownership.
- Represent the company's interests in industry forums, such as feed miller association, advocating for regulatory policies and industry standards that benefit UFCEA.
Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- A university degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, or related field.
- Proven sales experience in the animal nutrition industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of animal nutrition products and solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites.
- Ability to travel extensively.

The overall purpose of this role is to deliver volume, revenue, and Market share growth by effectively managing the Sales General Trade Team to deliver implementation of business plans whilst delivering superior customer experience through the Regional Sales Managers and the Trade Development Representatives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Trade and outlet execution
- Execution of Outlet against picture of success QDVPPP
- Drive execution of cycle plans - Promotions and other trade initiatives
- Monitor competitive activities through the team and advice the NSM accordingly.
- Monitor Price compliance.
Outlet development
- Build and develop collaborative relationships with retail.
- Develop, Review and Implement Route plan for Trade Development Representatives.
- Ensure merchandising and execution standards.
- Drive Horizontal expansion through new outlet Listing.
Sales and market share growth
- Manages and measures sales targets daily, weekly and Monthly and take corrective action
- Allocates execution resources (e.g. POS / promotional material etc.) for maximum return.
- Monitor route coverage by Distributors.
- Manage Sales orders, Sell-In and Out address any gaps to ensure no OOS in retail
- Identify and realize sales opportunities in within the Unga Category
- Drive consistent sales volume growth.
Distributor management
- Ensure OG is realised at all Distributors as per agreed purchase plans and as per agreed and signed off company targets.
- Track monthly Distributor financial health Proactively develop, facilitate, re-engineer best practices, and sustain amazing relationships with distributors.
- Proactively works to maintain a healthy Brand/Pack mix in Volume that generates a healthy P&L for Unga.
Inventory Optimization
- Ensure application of suitable methodology to ensure maintenance of appropriate stock levels across the Distributors.
- Provide support and guidance to Distributors and other dealers in ensuring stock optimization.
People Management
- Provide guidance and support to the team on Distributor operating standards.
- Identify gaps and build capability for the TDRs, Distributors and DSRs.
- Orientation, induction, and training of team members.
- Manage Performance daily.
- Weekly coaching and accompaniment of the Teams in Trade.
- Management of Distributor Accounts Receivables
Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a business related field.
- Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing would be an added advantage
- At least six years’ experience in sales and marketing (FMCG)- General Trade
- Valid driving license with a clean driving record

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
New Product Development
- Identify market gaps and revamp the product category.
- Identify market gaps, research market opportunities and customer/market needs, propose and develop new products to increase revenue.
- Conduct products demonstration trials or Market Acceptance Study for product acceptance in the market and build customer confidence.
Technical Advisory
- Provide technical support to the UFCEA sales team on new and base products
- Identify technical gaps and continually develop training materials to empower and boost UFCEA sales team confidence for more customer engagement aimed at increasing market share.
- Collaborate with the relevant stakeholders in technical trainings to improve confidence on UFCEA team’s expertise and keep abreast on modern and emerging technologies aimed at increasing market share growth.
Sales and Market share growth
- Research on market development and develop and execute strategic plans to increase sales volume/revenue
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders in the livestock industry to empower clients (through trainings) for more sales volumes/revenue.
- New products follow-up to maturity.
Team work
- Maintain healthy relationships for smooth operations.
- Identify technical gaps and build capability for the team.
- Collaborate in complaint handling.
Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Sciences with experience in the Livestock value chain
- Post Graduate Diploma in International Animal Health (IAH)
- Valid driving License.
