    Driver Trainer

    About the role Key duties and responsibilities
     Submit 100% of training, coaching and assessment reports monthly.
    Maintain updated training materials quarterly to include regulatory, customer and operational changes
    Deliver induction, DDT and refresher training achieving at least 95% annual attendance.
    Complete 100% of driver assessments (new recruits, internal reassessments, post-accident) within 48 hours of request.
    Conduct monthly MiX telematics coaching for all flagged drivers achieving minimum 20% violation reduction annually.
    Participate in 100% accident/incident investigations within 24 hours.
    Maintain 100% accuracy in training records, matrices and compliance documentation.
    Conduct a minimum of 12 toolbox talks annually with at least 85% driver attendance.
    Record and submit at least 5 hazards/near misses monthly and follow up on corrective actions.
    Ensure 100% compliance in the issuance, tracking and sign-in/out of keys, GPS devices, phones and diesel cards.
    Conduct site-specific induction and customer SOP orientation for 100% of new drivers within 24 hours of reporting.
    Complete 100% of on-road coaching for high-risk drivers identified through MiX within 5 working days.
    Any other duties assigned to you.
    About you
    Minimum three years’ experience in conducting driver training courses.
    Minimum Six years driving experience in heavy haulage.
    Logistics & Warehouse experience
    Ability to follow work procedures and Safety Rules.
     Ability to Read; understand and follow directions and instructions
    Ability to communicate fluently from middle management downward.
     Ability to uphold the company image at all times.
     Proper Communications and Presentation skills.

    Finance Manager: Kenya

    Role Outline

    To provide overall financial leadership to the Kenya business and supports the General Manager and Operational managers in strategic, tactical and operations finance related imperatives.

    Key Responsibilities

    Support Costing of Commercial Opportunities

    • Ensure long-term profitability.
    • Scenario planning of the strategic plan/IBP in line with Group requirements.
    • Coordinate reporting to previous plans.

    Maintain and Enhance Decision-Making

    • Provide first-class financial information based on strong systems.
    • Ensure effective management of Country financial databases.
    • Manage the budget and forecast process.
    • Implement and maintain costing systems for customer profitability.
    • Utilize technology and skills to facilitate processes.
    • Prepare monthly reporting packs for Kenya, Group, Sub-region, and Country Management.

    Review and Challenge Local Financial Performance

    • Direct and assist in ensuring performance to budget and forecast.
    • Determine and implement performance analyses and reporting processes.

    Responsible for Statutory Compliance

    • Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax returns.
    • Ensure timely and accurate submission of CREST.
    • Ensure timely and compliant Annual Financial Statements.
    • Keep abreast of new legislation and ensure compliance with treasury-related issues.

    Assist Group with Treasury Function

    • Efficient cash flow management and forecasting.
    • Manage Capex ensuring optimal replacement policy.
    • Ensure compliance with Central Bank regulations on payments and receipts.
    • Plan and communicate Central Bank regulations.
    • Manage relationship with central finance reporting and control groups.

    Corporate Shared Services Functions

    • Africa Finance Team
    • Ensure effective operational processes with appropriate internal controls.
    • Supervise cost control and transaction processing.
    • Participate in operational, transactional, cost, and internal control processes.
    • Manage audit processes and follow-up actions.

    Coordinate Risk Management Process

    • Provide direction to the senior management team regarding risk management.
    • Maximize financial performance at appropriate risk levels.
    • Liaise with Group Risk structures for risk mitigation.
    • Ensure compliance with operational processes, including but not limited to: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable.

    Measurement Criteria / KPIs

    • Country-Level objectives (budget, revenue) and results (EBIT).
    • Management Information available for decision making.
    • Timely Submission of information packs.
    • Robust financial action plans to improve business.
    • Compliance with all legal and DPDHL reporting requirements.
    • Improvement in Cash Flow Management and meeting group targets.
    • Adherence to internal policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
    • Compliance with the risk management framework.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting & Finance.
    • Minimum 7 to 10 years in a senior management position in Finance with increased responsibility.
    • Understanding and practical experience in Supply Chain and Contract Logistics is a distinct advantage.
    • Cross divisional or cross-country experience will be an advantage.
    • General experience in Finance and Accounting in a Multinational is a distinct advantage.
    • Proven experience in managing a team across several different finance disciplines.
    • Knowledge of statutory and operating environments in Kenya is a distinct advantage.
    • Experience managing a Finance team is required.
    • Professional Qualification from a recognized accounting body (CPA or ACCA).
