    Head of Power Generation & Utilities EMEA

    What you will do

    • Position Ericsson as a trusted technology and thought leader in EMEA Utilities.
    • Shape and communicate the industry vision, innovation trends, and strategic value propositions for utilities operators, regulators, and industrial clients.
    • Lead participation in regional and country-level utilities conferences, trade shows, and industry events, representing Ericsson with authority.
    • Deliver compelling narratives around the future of utilities, energy transition, smart grid, digitalization, and sustainability initiatives.
    • Define and execute the Go-To-Market Strategy for Utilities in EMEA, aligned with regional business priorities and regulatory environments.
    • Drive business development, from opportunity identification to early shaping and qualification.
    • Lead EMEA utilities ecosystem assessments, mapping key stakeholders, competitors, technology providers, and innovation clusters.
    • Identify, validate and onboard relevant ecosystem partners, including technology providers, integrators, and strategic allies.
    • Set short-term and long-term strategic priorities to guide growth, investments, and positioning.
    • Influence EMEA utilities customer visions, roadmaps, and procurement strategies through thought leadership.
    • Support Customer Units in Europe with lead development, funnel acceleration, opportunity shaping and support during key engagements and executive dialogues.
    • Build strong, trust-based relationships with utilities operators, regulators, industrial clients, and system integrators.
    • Navigate local content, regulatory compliance, and public-private partnership requirements across multiple countries.
    • Support sales teams in commercial strategy and deal structuring by helping define competitive business models, guiding negotiations, interpreting procurement processes, and providing techno-commercial value argumentation for major bids
    • Work closely with the Solution team to align technology offerings and solutions with regional utilities requirements, ensuring compliance with operational, safety, and regulatory standards.
    • support Market Area marketing and communications activities, ensuring consistent and impactful messaging for the Utilities segment. 
    • Gather, develop and share best practices across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. 
    • Support internal enablement and capability-building initiatives across regional teams.

    The Skills You Bring

    • 10+ years in Utilities business development, strategy, or program leadership within EMEA or multinational markets.
    • Deep understanding of EMEA utilities ecosystems, regulatory frameworks, and key industry stakeholders.
    • Strong track record influencing senior leaders and driving complex opportunity lifecycles.
    • Demonstrated experience in government, regulatory, and utilities operator engagement, participation in regional events, and thought leadership.Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
    • Established network across utilities operators, regulators, technology providers, and integrators, with the ability to leverage relationships to advance strategic initiatives.

    • Deliver compelling narratives around industrial digitalization, automation, cybersecurity, and operational efficiency.
    • Define and execute the Go-To-Market Strategy for Enterprise in EMEA, aligned with sector-specific priorities and regional dynamics.
    • Drive business development, from opportunity identification to early shaping and qualification.
    • Lead regional ecosystem assessments, mapping key stakeholders, competitors and technology providers.

    Industry Ecosystem & Emerging Biz EMEA

    What you will do

    • Lead industry ecosystem intelligence across EMEA, mapping partners, channels, enablers, regulatory trends and competitive moves.
    • Provide strategic guidance to inform Go-To-Market (GTM), partner selection, and investment prioritization.
    • Identify cross-vertical opportunities arising from ecosystem shifts, regulatory changes, and technology evolution.
    • Deliver intelligence that supports vertical BD leaders in sharpening value propositions and market plays
    • Work hand in hand with the Head of Vertical Business Development to shape and execute the regional partnership strategy

    Coordinate ecosystem and vertical insights to determine:

    • which partners to target
    • partnership models (co-sell, co-develop, integrate, etc.)
    • value proposition alignment
    • Support vertical BD teams with ecosystem-driven partner enablement while maintaining cross-vertical consistency
    • Lead early-stage business development for emerging domains, including but not limited to: Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN), Digital Airspace and Drone Ecosystems.
    • Conduct Emerging Business ecosystem validation and opportunity incubation.
    • Translate emerging technologies into tangible EMEA GTM strategies and cross -vertical real use cases 
    • Drive internal education on ecosystem trends, partner landscapes, and strategic innovation vectors.

    The Skills You Bring

    • 10+ years of experience working in ecosystem strategy, innovation, emerging technologies, or advanced business development.
    • Deep understanding of mission-critical communications, industrial digitalization, and cross-industry ecosystem structures.
    • Strong awareness of regulatory drivers, technology disruption patterns, and competitor strategies across EMEA.
    • Proven strategic and analytical skills
    • Experience incubating early-stage business opportunities or new technology domains.
    • Established network across technology providers, ecosystem partners, integrators, investors, regulatory bodies, and industry alliances.
    • Ability to manage relationships at multiple organizational levels and across cultures within EMEA.
