JOB PURPOSE:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating Hatchery activities in the Eggs and Chicks Departments as per SOPs and based on Hatchery Supervisors Roster.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise and coordinate activities in the Eggs and Chicks Departments in accordance with SOPs and the Hatchery Supervisors’ Roster.
• Maintain hygiene standards in all assigned work areas.
• Ensure full compliance with company SOPs, policies, statutory regulations, and expected behaviors at all times and implement corrective actions as required.
• Monitor and ensure all hatchery machines are operational and up and running.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES.

• Diploma/Certificate in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
• 2+ years’ experience in a similar environment.
• Computer literate.
• Good communication skills.
• Proficient in English (both written and spoken).
• Exceptional computational skills.
• Sound knowledge of Setter and Hatchers.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Execute assigned tasks in the Eggs & Chicks departments efficiently and accurately.
• Perform all required cleaning and disinfecting activities at the Hatchery to maintain hygiene standards.
• Comply with all relevant company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies, statutory regulations, and expected behaviors at all times and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Undertake any other duties assigned by their supervisor.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES.

• KCSE certificate plus a Diploma or Certificate qualification in any relevant field.
• 2 years’ experience in a related field will be an added advantage.
• Good communication skills.
• Above average numerical and analytical skills.
• Basic knowledge in Poultry hatchery operations.
