    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in development studies, Project Management, Community Development Studies, or related Social Science Discipline.
    • Valid Certificate of Good Conduct (issued within the last 6 months).
    • A minimum of 3 years of working experience preferably in an NGO setting.
    • Good experience and knowledge of Child & Youth Safeguarding guidelines
    • Proven ability to conceptualize, innovate and manage programs.
    • Proven ability to cultivate long-term mutually beneficial partnerships with local communities, key state departments, CSOs, and corporate organizations.
    • Ability to work under pressure, make decisions, and multi-task.
    • Enthusiastic and connects well with people of all backgrounds, and able to inspire and motivate
    • Experience with Budget and Financial Reporting
    • Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and representation skills.

    Safeguarding Officer

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Gender and Development studies, Anthropology Social Work,Psychology, or a related field.
    • A master's degree is an added advantage
    • Valid Certificate of Good Conduct (issued within the last 6 months).
    • At least 5 years of experience in safeguarding, child protection, or related roles, with experience in the education or development sector being highly desirable.
    • Strong knowledge of safeguarding standards and best practices, including child protection, gender-based violence, and vulnerable adult protection.
    • Experience in designing and delivering safeguarding training for diverse audiences
    • Ability to identify and assess safeguarding risks, with strong problem-solving skills

    Program Officer, Imarisha Msichana Scholarship Program

    Position Overview

    The Program Officer will play a crucial role in monitoring and mentoring students at various schools funded by the Mastercard Foundation. He/she will also create awareness to win stakeholders' commitment to end Teen pregnancy and Child Marriage; strengthen social accountability among the duty bearers; and enhance agency among young people to demand their sexual and reproductive health and rights.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • A bachelor’s degree in social sciences or a related Humanities field is preferred.
    • At least two years’ experience in girls’ education and prior experience implementing or managing a scholarship programme

    Finance Assistant

    Job Summary:

    Reporting to the Finance Officer, s/he will be responsible for assisting the mandate of FAWE Kenya in fulfilling the financial requirements by assisting in preparation of donor reports and other internal financial reporting, financial records, processing transactions; including preparation of payments, doing postings in the financial system, preparation of reconciliations, Short term expenditure scheduling, preparing timely remittance of staff and statutory payments, audit and audit support.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • A bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or a related field, from a recognized institution of higher learning is a must
    • A CPA Part 2
    • A minimum of 2 year of working experience with progressive responsibility in a busy finance set up.

    Logistics Officer Cum Driver

    Job Summary:

    Reporting to the Human Resources and Administration Officer, The Logistics Officer cum Driver will be responsible for providing safe, timely, and professional transportation services to support FAWE Kenya’s operations. The role involves ensuring the safety of passengers, maintaining the condition and records of organizational vehicles, and supporting administrative logistics where needed. The incumbent will serve as a trusted custodian of staff and resources, and must demonstrate a high level of integrity, responsibility, and adherence to safety and compliance standards.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Technical Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Management/Administration
    • CPA 11 an added advantage
    • Certificate in Supply Chain Management
    • Minimum of 3 years in logistics and professional driving experience preferably with Non- Governmental Organizations or donor-funded projects.
    • Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and traffic patterns is desired.
    • A valid Kenyan driving license free from any current endorsement (s) for classes of the vehicles the driver is required to drive.
    • A Valid Defensive Driving Certificate from the Automobile Association of Kenya (AA) or its equivalent accredited qualifications – lasting not less than one year
    • Valid Certificate of Good Conduct (issued within the last 6 months).
    • A First Aid Certificate Course lasting not less than one year from St Johns Ambulance or Kenya Red Cross.
    • Occupational Trade Test III Certificate
