    Food Safety & Assurance Officer

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and cold-chain audits across butcheries, bakeries, delis, and storage facilities.
    • Verify product integrity, traceability, labeling, temperature controls, and compliance with HACCP, ISO 22000, and food safety regulations.
    • Identify operational risks, investigate food safety incidents and customer complaints, and oversee corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
    • Monitor sanitation programs, pest control, waste management, and supplier receiving practices to minimize product losses and ensure compliance.
    • Engage with regulatory authorities during inspections and maintain accurate audit documentation and reporting.
    • Train and mentor store teams on food safety best practices, hygiene standards, and regulatory requirements while promoting a strong food safety culture.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Public Health, or a related field.
    • 4+ years' hands-on experience in food safety management, quality assurance, hygiene inspection, or food auditing
    • Proven experience in food safety auditing, quality assurance, high-volume butcheries, bakeries, delis, food manufacturing, or quick-service restaurant environments
    • Sound knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, food safety regulations, and hygiene management systems.
    • Strong analytical, communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Willingness to travel extensively across the country

    HSE Specialist

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct workplace health and safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
    • Investigate incidents and ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
    • Monitor contractor compliance with safety standards and permit-to-work systems.
    • Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, including fire drills and crisis response.
    • Deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and coach store teams on health and safety best practices.
    • Maintain statutory HSE records and monitor compliance with OSHA and ISO 45001 requirements.
    • Track safety performance metrics and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, Safety Engineering, Public Health, Risk Management, or a related field.
    • NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent professional HSE certification.
    • ISO 45001 Internal Auditor certification is an added advantage.
    • 3–5 years' experience in health and safety within retail, FMCG, logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, or similar multi-site environments.
    • Strong knowledge of incident investigation, risk assessment, contractor safety management, and statutory compliance.
    • Excellent communication, training, and stakeholder management skills.
