    Enterprise Domain Architect - Core Banking Applications

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop and maintain the core banking systems strategy for the bank, aligning it with the overall enterprise architecture goals and business objectives. This includes defining and establishing principles, standards, best practices and guidelines for integrating core banking systems, applications and data across the organization.
    • Identify gaps and inefficiencies in the existing core banking landscape and propose innovative solutions by defining and managing the evolution of core banking platforms to support new products, services and customer experiences.
    • Design and document the target-state architecture for core banking applications, considering scalability, security, resilience and regulatory compliance.
    • Participate in the evaluation core banking platforms, third-party solutions and conduct proof-of-concepts (POCs) on emerging technologies and their application in the core banking landscape. 
    • Through collaboration with middleware and API teams ensure seamless integration of core banking applications with surrounding ecosystems including digital channels, payments, risk management, regulatory reporting and reporting systems.
    • Enable data-driven decision-making by ensuring core banking applications effectively support data platforms and analytics initiatives
    • Support enhancement business continuity planning (BCP) and disaster recovery (DR) practice and strategies for core banking systems.
    • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development and implementation teams throughout the development lifecycle for core banking applications. This includes identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and drive initiatives to enhance system performance and reliability
    • Participate in incident response and troubleshooting for major core banking system issues, review and validation of RCAs and design of solutions for resolution.
    • Address the accrued technical debt and develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all applications in the core banking domain.
    • Contribute to the bank's digital transformation initiatives by architecting future ready solutions that enable the actualization of the Business strategy.

    Enterprise Domain Architect - Enterprise & Customer Applications

    JOB PURPOSE​​​​​​​

    The holder will be responsible for shaping and guiding the technology strategy for enterprise and customer systems. This role focuses on delivering robust CRM platforms, internal self-service portals and applications that support customer engagements and internal/enterprise operations across KCB Group. The architect ensures these solutions align with business objectives, industry best practices and emerging technologies thereby enabling scalable, resilient, performant and secure systems.

    The role involves overseeing the planning, design and implementation of enterprise & customer applications ensuring seamless and optimized enterprise operations and data exchanges between various systems within the bank's ecosystem.

    The role will report to the Head of Group Enterprise Architecture and Governance.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Oversee the modernization of legacy systems and seamless integration of enterprise & customer applications with core banking systems, CRM, ERP, document management, risk management, analytics and digital channels.
    • Evaluate emerging technologies and third-party solutions through rigorous proof-of-concepts (POCs) to enhance engagement experiences, operational efficiency and optimal internal processes. Provide strategic guidance on their application and adoption across customer and enterprise platforms.
    • Enable data-driven decision-making by ensuring enterprise & customer applications effectively support data platforms and analytics initiatives
    • Support enhancement of business continuity planning (BCP) and disaster recovery (DR) practice and strategies for enterprise and customer systems.
    • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development and implementation teams throughout the delivery lifecycle for enterprise and customer applications. This includes identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and drive initiatives to enhance system performance and reliability.
    • In collaboration with production support teams, participate in incident response and troubleshooting for major enterprise and customer systems issues, review and validation of RCAs and design of solutions for resolution.
    • Address the accrued technical debt and develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all applications in the enterprise and customer domain.
    • Contribute to the bank's digital transformation initiatives by architecting future ready solutions that enable the actualization of the Business strategy.

    DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Define and document end-to-end architecture for enterprise & customer applications, ensuring alignment with business needs and best practices.
    • Provide technical oversight during development, integration and implementation phases.
    • Ensure enterprise & customer solutions comply with industry standards, security frameworks and regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct architectural reviews and provide guidance to development teams to ensure adherence to best practices while continuously addressing the accrued technical debt in the enterprise & customer applications domain.
    • Collaborate with support, cloud, integration, security and infrastructure teams to ensure continuous evolution of enterprise & customer applications.

    Assistant Shari'ah Manager

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct a preliminary review of documents and agreements to ensure compliance with the resolutions of the Shari’ah Advisory Council under the supervision of the Shari’ah Manager 
    • Maintain the Shari’ah Advisory Council working documents (templates, forms, databases, checklists etc.).
    • Receive regular MIS and confirmation from the business departments and branches relating to the Shari’ah Compliance of key transactions.
    • Review all credit facilities and provide recommendations on structuring of the facilities in accordance with Shari’ah guidelines.
    • Measure, monitor, control and manage (under the supervision and guidance of Shari’ah Manager) any real or perceived risk of Shari’ah non-compliance by the Bank across the entire organization including fundamental (or primary) as well as tertiary (or peripheral) activities, operations and functions.
    • Review and understand all Shari’ah Supervisory Advisory Council pronouncements, guidelines, instructions, previous internal Shari’ah Audit results, relevant correspondences to be able to conduct reviews of the business.
    • Assist Shari’ah Manager to conduct Shari’ah audits, prepare reports and discuss findings with stakeholders
    • Assist in providing input, from Shari’ah perspective to various team engagement in product development and systems implementations.
    • Assist in attending to customers’ queries related to Shari’ah Matters.

     Academic & Professional

    • Education     Bachelors degree    Shari’ah Law/Islamic Banking     RQ
    • Professional Qualifications    Islamic Banking Certifications    AA
    • Masters degree    Business Administration. /Shari'ah Law    AA
