    Fuel Data Officer Intern

    Brief Description        

    • The Fuel Data Officer intern will be tasked with the development and delivery of fuel initiatives and cost reductions activities around Jet Fuel Consumption in the organization. Additionally, they will be engaged in activities that seek to improve Data and Information availability to assist the organization develop strategy around Jet Fuel Consumption in the organization.

    Detailed Description        

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assist in maintaining a database for all aircraft fuel burn.
    • Collect fuel initiatives data, develop trends and advise on areas of improvement.
    • Assist in coordinating with Fuel suppliers to ensure service delivery on time.
    • Assist in continuously developing database on aircraft fuel consumption and providing statistical analysis in order to reduce KQ’s operational cost.
    • Assist in environmental and sustainability projects around fuel in the organization.
    • Assist in any other duties that may occur from time to time.

    Job Requirements        

    Minimum Qualifications

    •  Fluent in written and spoken English.
    •  Demonstrate knowledge of Jet Fuel Operations, Flight Planning Procedures and Flight Data Analysis.
    •  Proficiency in analytical tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
    • Jet Fuel Industry and Market Knowledge.

    Minimum Years of Experience 

    • At least B plain in KCSE.
    • At least 6 months of Flight Dispatch Planning and Operations.
    • Jet Fuel Contracting, Pricing and Operations as an added advantage.

    Brief Description        

    • The Job holder is responsible for assisting to install, operate, and maintain computer networks and communication systems. The holder will also provide solutions to technical problems across different business units within the organisation.

    Detailed Description        

    Accountability (Responsibility)

    • Provides assistance in the use of personal computer hardware, software, and specialized mainframe technology or operates a multi-platform computer environment or monitors the scheduling, execution, and successful completion of various jobs
    • Sets up and configures desktop computers, peripherals and accounts assigning security level
    • Installs software and installs and repairs hardware and peripherals
    • Tests programs
    •  Troubleshoots, diagnoses problems, implements corrective action procedures within prescribed guidelines and/or escalates to other technical resources as appropriate
    • Maintains systems, databases, social media and web pages
    • Administers user accounts
    • Designs and produces basic reports
    • Sets up and submits programs for assigned jobs and edits and debugs computer output
    • Transfers computer files between platforms
    • Provides basic troubleshooting, repair and maintenance for computer equipment (e.g. Microcomputers, disk drives, and laser printers) and may assist with testing personal computers and peripherals on a network to diagnose, hardware versus software problems
    • Acts as a customer liaison for the computing operation, communicating, resolving, and/or initiating the resolution of problems and concerns.
    • Arranges for distribution of output to customer.
    • Maintains computer records.
    • Contributes to unit goals by accomplishing related duties as required.
    • Maintain standard filing system for easy and quick document assess and retrieval.

    Principal Accountabilities (Responsibility)

     Business Development:

    • Identify potential clients within the fresh produce industry and air cargo sector to expand our customer base. • Further Development and retention of existing customer base and major focus on new customer development.
    • Ensure to adhere to all company code of conduct, legal, human resources, environmental, ISO, Security and health and safety procedures and standards
    •  Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitor activities.
    • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve business objectives and revenue targets.

    Client Relationship Management:

    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their requirements and ensuring their satisfaction.
    • Act as a point of contact for client inquiries, addressing concerns, and providing timely solutions.
    • Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to ensure seamless service delivery to clients.
    • Develop Business Development Strategies 

    Sales and Negotiations:

    • Present and promote our ground handling services to potential clients, showcasing the benefits and value propositions.

    Sales Reporting and Analysis:

    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and prospects
    •  Prepare regular sales reports, providing insights into sales performance, market trends, and potential growth areas.

    Collaboration and Communication:

    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including operations and customer support, to ensure a cohesive customer experience.
    •  Communicate market feedback, customer insights, and competitor information to internal teams.

    Job Requirements        

    Qualification (Minimum)

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

    •  Proven track record of success in sales, preferably within the air cargo or logistics industry.
    •  In-depth knowledge of air cargo operations and fresh produce handling is a strong advantage.
