    Patient Support Specialist

    The role

    The Patient Support Specialist will be responsible for engaging with clients to help them through all stages of the medical treatment process – from initial enquiry to helping organize the client’s return home after treatment. This position requires someone who cares for our clients, has exceptional customer service and communication skills, excellent writing skills and a willingness to take care of our clients through all stages of their medical treatment.

    The position would be suitable for someone with experience working in a hospital in a customer service role or someone who has worked in a travel agency or in a sales role and a strong willingness to learn about medical facilitation and medical conditions, as well as provide our clients exceptional customer service. Candidates that can speak English and another language (Somali, Arabic, French or Portuguese) are highly encouraged to apply.

    Key responsibilities

    • Engage with new patients to answer questions on our partner medical facilities, in Kenya, across Africa and internationally.
    • Coordinate with our partner hospitals and doctors to get information on the patient’s medical condition, treatment options, cost and length of treatment, as well as get answers to any other questions that patients may have.
    • Assist new patients to visit our partner medical facilities.
    • Book accommodation and help the patient obtain a visa if required.
    • Coordinate with our patients during their treatment to ensure that they are well looked after during their treatment.
    • Follow up with past patients.
    • You must be ok working on Sundays and some public holidays.
    • Any other tasks assigned.

    Requirements

    • Between 1-4 years of experience working in a hospital, travel agency or another customer focused position dealing directly with customers or patients.
    • Experience managing your own clients or patients is a strong advantage.
    • A strong desire to learn about medical conditions, treatment options and advanced medical equipment to be able to explain this to people who contact us. Just in a basic way, as we do not provide medical advice.
    • A strong desire to provide exceptional customer service to all our patients is essential.
    • Good selling skills are important.
    • Excellent communication and English writing skills are a must.
    • Ability to speak and write in a second language is a big advantage (Somali, Arabic, French or Portuguese).
    • A desire to encourage new patients to use our services and help coordinate everything to ensure that they have a helping hand while they go for their medical treatment.
    • A wiliness to work in a fast-paced start-up environment.
    • Computer literate – Strong Outlook, Word and other software skills.
    • Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.

    Business Development Officer

    The role

    Reporting to the C.O.O., the Business Development Officer will be responsible for helping to communicate and educate medical professionals in Kenya and regionally across Africa about the platform and encourage them to list.

    This position is suitable for a high performing salesperson with a bit of experience and a strong passion for the healthcare sector. This is a unique role to join a fast-growing and high impact company as we start our rapid expansion across Africa.

    Key responsibilities

    • Research, find, vet and list leading medical professionals, clinics and hospitals.
    • Build a strong database of medical professionals around Africa.
    • Speak with doctors, clinics and hospitals via in-person or online meetings to educate them about My Health Africa and encourage them to list on MyHealth Africa.
    • Onboard medical professionals effectively using templates provided to ensure all information is accurately collected.
    • Meet your sales/listing targets.
    • Come up with and implement innovative collaborative joint marketing activities with the medical professionals and facilities we work with.
    • Report on feedback from medical specialists, clinics and hospitals on what new features they may want to add.
    • Participate in educational and/or information events to raise awareness about MyHealth Africa.

    Requirements

    • At least one (1) years’ experience working in sales or marketing, preferable in the health industry.
    • Degree in a relevant field.
    • You are self-motivated, hungry for a challenge, and looking to help build MHA into a market leader.
    • Excellent sales skills are a must.
    • Very organized and proactive to follow up on past leads.
    • Ability to work with little to no supervision.
    • Ability to spend a lot of time researching, finding contacting and demonstrating to doctors, clinics and hospitals.
    • Excellent English writing skills are a must and the ability to communicate with people from different countries in East Africa.

    Senior Full Stack Developer

    The role

    The candidate should be a hands-on senior full-stack developer and be ready to work in a dynamic organization with multiple priorities. Working with our development team, the candidate will help build out new features on our web platform as well as build other exciting health tech solutions, including working on the front end/back end, developing REST APIs, and adding new web pages.

    This is a unique role to join a fast-growing and high impact company as we start our rapid expansion across Africa.

    Key responsibilities

    • Research, plan and develop new features on our patient-facing web platform.
    • Research, plan and develop new features for our medical management system.
    • Develop REST APIs.
    • Help to figure out how to make our web applications more functional.
    • Integrate APIs from third-party systems.
    • Participate in code reviews, automated and functional testing, and other aspects of our quality assurance process.
    • Participate in the development of new innovative health tech systems.
    • Any other tasks assigned to you by the CTO or CEO.

    Requirements

    • At least 4 years of experience developing high-level complex web applications.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
    • A very good understanding of web applications and programming languages such as React.js, Vue.js, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, REST APIs, Php, MySQL, Ajax, and SQLite.
    • Must have a good understanding of python.
    • Knowledge of software development best practices.
    • Experience in API integrations - SMS/WhatsApp APIs integration; Payment integration APIs; Map API integrations.
    • A good understanding of Security Principles regarding web applications.
    • A good understanding of Web User Interface Design (UI) is a strong advantage.

    Head Of Growth Marketing

    The role

    The Head of Growth Marketing’s sole focus is on hitting growth targets, which can be achieved by a radical emphasis on creating a seamless patient experience and communicating our value proposition. The key areas include customer/patient acquisition, activation, retention, and offering/upselling other complementary healthcare services. This position is suitable for someone with experience in ideating, creating, planning and implementing high growth marketing activities.

    The Head of Growth will manage a small team initially, so they will need to be actively involved in setting up and implementing growth marketing activities. They will then focus on building a high performing Growth Marketing team across Africa.

    Key responsibilities

    • Own MyHealth’s growth marketing strategy and inform our customer-facing experience across acquisition and retention.
    • Create, manage and uncover creative, non-traditional and new methods of acquiring users.
    • Analyse data to monitor revenue performance and uncover areas for improvement in businesscritical KPIs related to growth (volume, CAC, retention, LTV).
    • Plan, execute and lead paid campaigns across online and offline channels, including Paid Social, SEM, Display, Radio, TV, etc.
    • Conceive and execute a wide range of content campaigns to drive education, engagement, and organic traffic.
    • Develop and drive a referral marketing strategy and work with cross-functional teams to execute programs that increase growth while improving KPIs.
    • Build and execute brand and competitive positioning strategy.
    • Partner with cross-functional teams (product, operations, design) to develop advertising assets, landing pages, emails, and reporting to manage programs and optimise conversion rates.
    • Collaborate with the CEO, COO and CTO to forecast and plan company revenue growth.
    • Hire, manage, and develop a team of driven, highly engaged individuals to manage marketing channels.
    • Be able to work unsupervised to meet individual KPIs of deliverables within the timelines given.

    Requirements

    • Minimum 3-5 years of experience driving growth through digital acquisition channels.
    • Experience working across the entire DTC marketing funnel (customer acquisition, conversion and engagement) and the marketing mix (including online and offline channels).
    • Demonstrable experience in implementing data-led marketing strategies & using web analytics tools.
    • Proven track record of increasing user acquisition, engagement and retention and meeting/exceeding revenue goals.
    • Self-starter with the ability to execute under deadlines.
    • Experience in managing growth teams & executing an agile marketing strategy.
    • Both a solid strategic thinker with the ability to translate quantitative and qualitative data/insights into solid marketing strategies and a highly organised 'implementer' with a datadriven mentality and a bias towards action.
    • Experience with channel testing methodology, lifecycle marketing programs and multiple attribution models.
    • Experience in one of the following sectors: healthcare, marketplaces, or e-commerce would be a strong added advantage.
    • Experience in scaling acquisition strategies geographically is an added advantage.
    • Experience in growth-stage company highly preferred.
