The role

The candidate should be a hands-on UI/UX developer and be ready to work in a large dynamic organization with multiple priorities. Working with our development team, the candidate will help design new designs for our web platforms as well as the mobile app.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback.
• Illustrating design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps.
• Gathering and evaluating user requirements, in collaboration with product managers and developers.
• Design and iterate company documents and presentations.
• Designing user interface elements across all our platforms (Web and mobile).
• Develop UI mock-ups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look.
• Create original graphic designs (e.g., images, sketches, and tables).
• Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g., responsiveness).
• Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors, images and the brand guidelines of the company.
• Support marketing team by helping with social media posters and marketing materials.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a UI/UX developer.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Demonstrated experience working with Adobe XD, Figma, Photoshop, and illustrator.
• A very good understanding of how users interact with the web and mobile applications.
• Must have an eye for attention to detail.
• A good understanding of Front-end development languages is an added advantage. Ie. HTML, CSS, XML etc.
• A strong desire to learn and figure out how to make a web and mobile application more user-friendly and functional.
• Excellent communication and English writing skills area must.
• A wiliness to learn and work in a fast-paced start-up environment.
• Flexible and willing to help in other areas if need be.
• Must be a team player.

The role

The candidate should be a hands-on android developer and be ready to work in a large dynamic organization with multiple priorities. Working with our development team, the candidate will help build out new features on our android app, including working on the front end/back-end, developing RESTAPIs, adding new activities, ensuring the app’s security standards are met, optimizing the app to make sure it’s as light and quick as possible, and contributing with ideas to help make the app more functional.

Key responsibilities

• Maintaining the existing mobile app and deploying updates whenever need be.
• Ensuring the mobile app security standards are implemented and safeguarding user data is always prioritized.
• Add new features to our Android app.
• Building REST APIs for the android app.
• Help to figure out how we can further optimize the app and make it more functional and quicker.
• Any other tasks assigned to you by the CTO or CEO.

Requirements

• At least 4years of hands-on experience developing android apps.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• A very good understanding of Mobile and web applications programming languages such as Kotlin, Java, Flutter, PHP, JavaScript, React, MySQL, Python, and REST APIs.
• Demonstrated experience using the MVVM architectural design.
• Knowledge of software development best practices.
• Be familiar with Agile Development (XP or Scrum).
• Experience in API integrations -SMS/WhatsApp APIs integration, payment integration APIs, Google Maps API integrations.
• An understanding of Security Principles regarding mobile apps, APIs, and tech platforms.
• Hands-on experience in building iOS apps is a strong advantage.
• A strong desire to learn and figure out how to make a mobile app more user-friendly and functional.
• Attention to detail is a MUST.
• A wiliness to learn and work in a fast-paced start-up environment.
• Flexible and willing to help in other areas if need be
