    Talent Acquisition & OD Business Partner

    Job Purpose

    The Talent Acquisition & Organization Development (OD) Business Partner is responsible for leading end-to-end recruitment and employer branding initiatives while supporting organizational design and development. The role ensures accurate organizational structures, develops job descriptions for new roles, and partners with leadership to build a future-ready workforce while delivering an excellent candidate and onboarding experience.

    Responsibilities

    Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

    • Lead the full recruitment lifecycle from sourcing to onboarding.
    • Partner with Department Heads to forecast and plan talent needs.
    • Develop and maintain talent pipelines for key and recurring roles.
    • Enhance candidate experience throughout the recruitment journey.

    Employer Branding & Partnerships

    • Build and maintain relationships with academic institutions and professional bodies.
    • Position the organization as an Employer of Choice through strategic partnerships.
    • Drive internship programs as a sustainable talent pipeline.

    Organizational Development & Structure

    • Develop and review job descriptions for all new roles with proper approvals.
    • Maintain and update an accurate, real-time organizational structure and organogram.
    • Audit and align structural changes to ensure governance and approval compliance.
    • Support OD initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement and retention.

    Onboarding & Employee Experience

    • Oversee end-to-end onboarding processes (digital and physical).
    • Ensure all new hires complete mandatory induction within required timelines.
    • Deliver a high-quality induction experience that drives early productivity and engagement.

    Process Optimization & Analytics

    • Optimize recruitment processes and sourcing channels for efficiency.
    • Manage and monitor recruitment budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
    • Track and improve key recruitment metrics such as cost-per-hire and time-to-fill.
    • Leverage technology (including GenAI tools) to improve JD creation and talent mapping.

    Requirements & Competencies

    Education & Professional Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Professional HR certification is an added advantage.

    Experience

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Human Resources.
    • At least 2 years’ experience in Talent Acquisition and/or HR Business Partnering/Organization Development roles.

    Technical Skills

    • Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
    • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools.
    • Knowledge of modern sourcing techniques and recruitment platforms.

    Group HR Manager – Kisumu

    Job Purpose

    Provide strategic and operational leadership of the Human Resources function across the Group. The role is responsible for aligning human capital strategy with business objectives, strengthening a performance-driven culture, ensuring compliance, and building scalable HR systems to support manufacturing, distribution, and retail growth across all entities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute a Group-wide HR strategy aligned to growth, operational efficiency, and expansion across East Africa.
    • Advise senior leadership on workforce planning, organization design, and change management.
    • Lead recruitment strategy for technical, operational, and commercial roles, especially in manufacturing environments.
    • Build succession pipelines for critical roles across plants in all key units.
    • Drive a high-performance culture through structured performance management systems (KPIs, appraisals, incentives).
    • Embed values of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
    • Manage employee relations, disciplinary processes, and union engagement.
    • Ensure full compliance with Kenyan labor laws, health and safety standards, and manufacturing regulations.
    • Oversee payroll management, HRIS systems, and employee data integrity.
    • Standardize HR policies, procedures, and reporting frameworks across all entities.
    • Design and implement training programs focused on technical skills, leadership development, and productivity improvement.
    • Support frontline supervisors and plant managers with people management skills.
    • Optimize workforce productivity across manufacturing plants, logistics fleets, and retail/distribution networks.
    • Lead cost control initiatives related to manpower, overtime, and workforce utilization.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or related field (mandatory)
    • Master’s Degree in Strategic Management, Leadership, or MBA (added advantage)
    • Minimum 7+ years’ HR experience, with at least 5 years in manufacturing.
    • Proven experience managing multi-site or group HR operations.
    • Strong knowledge of HR systems (HRIS), payroll management, and labor laws.

    Competencies

    • Firm, decisive leadership with balanced people-centric judgment.
    • Strong business acumen with ability to link HR to operational performance.
    • High integrity and ability to handle sensitive organizational matters.
    • Excellent stakeholder management across factory, field, and corporate levels.

    • Experience in manufacturing, logistics, or FMCG environments preferred.
