Minimum Requirements

• Must have: An earned PhD or equivalent degree qualification OR, in special fields, a Master’s Degree Qualification in the relevant field, from an accredited and recognized university

Job Responsibilities

• Have a minimum of three (3) years’ work experience as Lecturer at University level or six (6) years as Research Fellow at Research institution /Industry experience.
• Have supervised since appointment as Lecturer, at least three (3) post-graduate students to completion.
• Have attended and contributed at learned conferences, seminars or workshops.
• Have evidence of continued research and/or effective teaching.
• Have evidence of contribution to university/research institution through activities such as participation in departmental management, students’ academic/research advising, school or university/institutional meetings, committee membership and related matters. Be registered with the relevant profes
• Demonstrate community involvement (e.g. Member of BOG, SMC etc.)

Minimum Requirements

• Ability to work independently and to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong knowledge and expertise in legal principles, theories, and case studies.
• Strong publication track record.
• 3 years or more previous tutoring or teaching experience in law at the undergraduate and postgraduate level.
• A collegial approach to working with others
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly, both orally and in writing.
• Dedication to upholding ethical and professional standards in tutoring practices.
• Holder of Master’s degree in Law (a doctorate will be an added advantage).
• Passion for education and a commitment to student success.
• Proficiency in relevant computer applications and different teaching tools.

• Offer additional resources and study aids to enhance student learning outcomes.
• Provide guidance and support to students in understanding legal concepts and principles.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in legal studies to ensure accurate and relevant instruction.
