CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the Head Chef in daily meal preparation and plating.
• Prepare special diet meals under supervision.
• Ensure food quality and consistency for all patients.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen equipment and workstations.
•  Assist in inventory management and stock monitoring.
• Support the Head Chef in supervising waiting staff and trainees.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Certificate/Diploma in Culinary Arts or relevant experience.
•  Minimum 2 years of experience in professional kitchens.
• Knowledge of basic nutrition and hospital dietary requirements.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and work in a team.

The Head Chef will oversee all kitchen operations, manage food preparation, ensure adherence to dietary orders, maintain hygiene standards, and supervise kitchen staff.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, prepare, and supervise daily meal preparation for patients, staff, and hospital events.
• Ensure all patient meals strictly follow nutritionist-approved dietary orders.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene and compliance with health and safety standards.
• Monitor inventory, forecast kitchen supplies, and ensure adequate stock levels.
• Manage and train kitchen staff, including Assistant Chef and waiting staff.
• Standardize meal preparation methods, including NGT feeds and special diets.
• Report to the Nutritionist regarding kitchen operations, challenges, and improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3-5 years of professional cooking experience, preferably in healthcare or institutional kitchens.
•  Knowledge of special diets (paediatric, diabetic, renal, maternity). Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

The Waiting Staff will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of meals from the kitchen to patients and for ensuring a positive dining experience.

• Deliver meals to patient rooms according to dietary orders.
• Ensure meals are served at appropriate temperatures and follow presentation standards.
• Assist patients with meal-related needs where necessary.
• Report any complaints or issues related to meals to the kitchen or nutrition team.
• Maintain hygiene standards during meal service.
• Support kitchen staff with clean-up and basic kitchen tasks when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in food service or hospitality is desirable.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
