    National Volunteer- Enterprenurship Development Advisors- Nairobi

    • The objective of this role is to provide comprehensive business development services to green entrepreneurs, with a particular focus on emerging small enterprises in the waste management sector.
    • The BDS will strengthen their capacity in areas such as business planning, financial management and services, market access and linkages, innovation, and compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
    • By equipping green entrepreneurs with the right business skills, resources, and networks, the intervention aims to foster sustainable business growth, create green jobs, and contribute to improved environmental management through enhanced waste collection, recycling, and value addition.

    Driver

    Provide driving and logistical assistant and ensure safe movement at the field level.

    Ideal Applicant Summary

    • Clean driving license with safety record,extensive experience driving in urban, rural & 4WD/off-road conditions. Solid knowledge of vehicle maintenance, safety checks & basic troubleshooting, with ability to identify mechanical risks early.
    • Experience supporting logistics and field operations in NGO, development, or corporate settings. Good knowledge of local and national road networks and security considerations.
    • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook for logistics documentation and reporting. Strong communication skills in English, effective route planning, time management, problem-solving, and decision-making. Professional, reliable, culturally respectful, and flexible, with willingness to travel and work in field locations. Defensive driving training is an added advantage.

    Finance and Operations Assistant

    Provide financial administration including payroll and statutory reporting and partner financial management support to W2W project grant in alignment to VSO volunteering for development (VfD), ensuring compliance to VSO policies, quality assurance standards and donor requirements, contributing to the achievement of project objectives, VSO’s vision and mission.

    Ideal Applicant Summary

    • Fully Qualified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (ACCA) license.
    • At least 3 years of professional experience in grant finance with sound knowledge and skills in technical accounting and financial management of restricted donor funding, procurement procedure, grant management, payroll and donor rules and regulations for non-profit organisations.
    • Knowledge of donor requirements preferably UNFPA/UN and or other donors FCDO, USAID, EU. Partner financial management and partner capacity building skills and experience. Understanding of volunteering for development approach practical experience of volunteering for development and or working with volunteering sector will be an advantage.

    National Volunteer: Livelihood Advisor, Moyale

    The National Volunteer – Livelihood Project Officer supports the effective implementation of livelihood-related activities of project including climate-smart agriculture, livestock-based livelihoods, income-generating activities (IGAs), and vocational or skills development initiatives.     Ideal Applicant Summary

    • Qualification in Livelihoods, Social Development, or Project Management (PMD Pro, PRINCE II, PMP) At least five years’ experience in livelihoods projects, job creation, and decent work, focusing on inclusive enterprise development and circular economy initiatives.
    • Skilled in green jobs, budget management, and full project delivery, with knowledge of Kenya’s waste management ecosystem. Experience in managing donor or foundation-funded consortium projects.
    • Strong skills in policy advocacy, rights-based & community-led approaches, multi-stakeholder partnerships, social inclusion, gender, resilience, accountability, and familiarity with Global Volunteer Standards.
