    Air Transportation Supervisor

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Supervise and oversee fleet service operations, ensuring all tasks are completed within the required time while adhering to standards outlined in AFI 24-605 and other applicable procedures and regulations.
    • Assign, manage, and supervise a team of Air Transportation personnel for tasks, such as:
    • Picking up, loading, and unloading aircraft service equipment and supplies.
    • Conducting air transportation galley/lavatory (ATGL) servicing.
    • Conducting portable lavatory, aircraft latrine, and water servicing.
    • Performing sanitation and cleaning of aircraft interiors.
    • Coordinate and monitor work activities to ensure schedules and deadlines are met for scheduled aircraft departures and arrivals.
    • Oversee the inspection and proper usage of aircraft service equipment, ensuring it is operational, clean, and in compliance with applicable safety standards.
    • Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders, such as cargo handlers and ground crews, to ensure efficient and safe aircraft servicing operations.
    • Ensure compliance with all regulations, safety protocols, and operational requirements during fleet servicing operations.
    • Prepare reports and maintain accurate records of fleet service activities, including equipment usage, maintenance, and inventory levels.
    • Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to ensure skill development, high performance, and adherence to standards.
    • Act promptly to resolve operational issues or delays to maintain schedule integrity and customer satisfaction.
    • Implement, monitor, and enforce quality assurance and control procedures for all air transportation support activities.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • 3-5 years of relevant experience in fleet service, air transportation, or ground support operations, including supervisory experience.
    • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics, transportation management, or related fields is preferred.
    • Thorough knowledge of air transportation regulations, procedures, and standards, including AFI 24-605 guidelines.
    • Strong understanding of aircraft servicing practices, including galley/lavatory servicing, portable lavatories, and interior sanitation.
    • Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to manage and supervise teams effectively.
    • Proficiency with computer systems and software for managing schedules, tasks, and maintenance logs.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a high-paced environment.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with team members, passengers, and external stakeholders.
    • Must be detail-oriented and capable of maintaining accurate records and documentation.
    • Must be in possession of a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
    • Passport should be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring.
    • Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for the duration of deployment.
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. 

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Prior experience in an austere OCONUS (Outside the Continental United States) environment with a multi-national workforce is preferred.
    • Valid country driver’s license and passport.
    • Country visa (as required in line with the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide).
    • Experience working at a military or government-operated passenger terminal or supporting Department of Defense (DoD) air transportation services.
    • Familiarity with aircraft servicing requirements, including galley, water, lavatory, and interior sanitation needs.
    • Experience managing transportation compliance in a military or government-regulated environment.
    • Certification or training in air transportation or logistics management.

    Supervisor BCO

    Job Responsibilities

    • The Supervisor BCO is responsible for overseeing the installation, operation, and maintenance of the Base Telecommunications Distribution System and components, ensuring optimal functionality and reliability. This role requires significant technical expertise, industry certifications, and comprehensive experience in managing communication systems and infrastructure. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    System Installation and Maintenance:

    • Leading the installation and operation of the Base Telecommunications Distribution System and its various components.
    • Maintaining and operating systems such as switch operations, switchboard operations, inside plant telephone switch maintenance, inside plant station equipment, customer premise cabling, and outside plant fiber optic/copper cables.
    • Ensuring proper delivery, configuration, and operation of all telecommunications systems in support of Base Communications infrastructure.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • Managing, supervising, and training personnel assigned to the operation and maintenance of base communications systems.
    • Monitoring the performance and functionality of the telecommunications systems to ensure they meet operational requirements.
    • Verifying proper installation, testing, and documentation for all telecommunications components installed under the Base Communications infrastructure.

    Certifications and Compliance:

    • Ensuring compliance by maintaining BICSI Registered Technician Level certification or higher.
    • Demonstrating proof of industry certifications or industry-approved certification from equipment manufacturers, verifying qualifications and expertise to install and test provided products.

    Operational Oversight:

    • Conducting and documenting scheduled inspections, service calls, and preventive maintenance to maintain the Base Telecommunications Distribution System’s optimal functionality.
    • Managing resources and overseeing the lifecycle of communications infrastructure, including repairs, replacements, upgrades, and testing for all equipment.
    • Collaborating closely with stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently and ensure the continuity of base communications operations.

    Problem Solving and Reporting:

    • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues quickly to minimize downtime and maintain operational consistency.
    • Creating detailed technical reports, records, and documentation regarding system performance, incidents, and repairs completed.

    Minimum Requirements

    Certifications and Experience:

    • BICSI Registered Technician Level certification or higher.
    • Proof of industry-specific certifications or industry-approved certifications from each equipment manufacturer, indicating qualification to install and test the provided products.
    • Comprehensive experience in all aspects of Base Telecommunications Distribution Systems, including switch operations, switchboard operations, inside plant switch and station maintenance, outside plant fiber optic/copper cables, and cabling infrastructure management.

    Skills and Knowledge:

    • Expertise in managing and supporting telephone switching systems, network cabling, and related infrastructure components.
    • Strong technical understanding of system design, installation, operation, and maintenance of telecommunications systems.
    • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for identifying potential issues, minimizing system disruptions, and repairing communications systems.
    • Solid interpersonal and leadership skills to effectively supervise and train personnel.

    Other Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent (relevant technical certifications are highly valued).
    • Ability to prepare and maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports related to telecommunications system performance and maintenance.
    • Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain compliance for the duration of deployment.
    • Physical ability to perform installation and maintenance tasks in various work environments.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Certification and training in telecommunications systems, such as Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT) or equivalent.
    • Familiarity with Navy or Department of Defense communication and telecommunication operations and infrastructure.
    • AT&T, Cisco, or other manufacturer-specific certifications in switching and cabling systems.
    • Proficiency in using diagnostic and testing equipment for telecommunications systems.
    • Prior experience in an OCONUS (Outside the Continental United States) environment with a multi-national workforce.
    • Valid country driver’s license.
