Job Responsibilities

• Work closely with the SSA and other legal colleagues on regulatory, employment, litigation and a broad range of commercial transactions including licensing, marketing, promotional and strategic partnership agreements and other unique issues impacting Uber across the region.
• Provide strategic and proactive legal support to business operations teams in order to ensure effective risk management and compliance with internal policies and governing laws and regulations.
• Research, review and analyze legal risk as applicable to Uber’s business model.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of legal experience, ideally with a combination of private practice and in-house.
• Experience with technology or consumer facing companies preferred.
• Fluent in written and spoken English (fluency in French would be an added plus).
• Strong academic credentials and law degree from a top law school.
• Excellent business judgment, a crisp writing style, and a drive to get things done.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in high impact and high profile situations.
