Responsibilities for the Mechanical Technician Job

• Trouble-shoot and repair production equipment mechanical breakdowns in a timely manner to reduce plant break down time.
• Perform preventive maintenance of plant equipment to reduce breakdowns and attain machine availability of above 85%.
• Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance schedules for the plant equipment.
• Advise the Plant Engineer on required equipment spare parts and assist in their specifications.
• Perform mechanical maintenance of all the plant installations including water and steam pipelines and tanks.
• Propose and assist in implementation of continuous improvement projects for the plant.

Mechanical Technician Job Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• A Diploma/Advanced Diploma in in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years working experience post-graduation.
• At least three years’ professional experience in plant maintenance in the Food Processing Industry.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules for plant equipment.

Electrical Technician Job Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance of plant equipment to reduce breakdowns and attain machine availability of above 85%.
• Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance schedules for the plant equipment.
• Install, maintain and repair plant electrical facilities.
• Propose and assist in implementation of continuous improvement of projects for the plant.
• Liaise with the Plant Engineer to ensure availability of electrical consumables for the plant.

Qualifications for the Electrical Technician Job

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Electrical and Electronics Engineering. from a recognized institution.
• A Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Electrical or Electrical and Electronics Engineering with at least 5 years working experience post-graduation.
• At least three years’ professional experience in plant maintenance in the Food Processing Industry.
• Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) will be an added advantage

Responsibilities for the Quality Assurance Manager Job

• Develop Quality Control Procedures for the processing plant.
• Inspect raw materials during deliveries to ensure conformity to set standards.
• Sample and analyse finished products to ensure the set quality is attained in line with the Quality Control Procedures.
• Develop and monitor process Critical Control Points (CCPs).
• Perform on-line product sampling and analysis to detect any process quality deviation, with special focus on the Critical Control Points (CCPs).
• Control product non-conformities throughout the process, keep proper records of the non-conforming products and ensure that such products are properly isolated and labeled.
• Maintain up-to-date Quality Control records.
• Liaise with the relevant statutory bodies to ensure certification of the products.
• Ensure that high standards of hygiene are maintained in the production area in accordance with Good
• Manufacturing Practices.
  Carry out Quality Awareness training for the production staff.

Quality Assurance Job Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Industrial Chemistry or Chemical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• At-least three years’ experience in Quality Assurance in the Food Processing Industry.
• Must have training and experience in HACCP and ISO 22000.
