    Maintenance Technician Intern


    Responsibilities for the Maintenance Technicians Interns

    • Ability to handle repair works in each outlet within the company in an effective manner
    • Ability to produce reports and make recommendation to senior management on issues relating to maintenance
    • Ability to plan all maintenance related activities in an effective manner to ensure that operations within each complex is not compromised

    Maintenance Technicians Interns Main Duties

    • Repair or replace defective equipment parts (using hand tools and power tools) and reassemble equipment
    • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently and the physical condition of buildings does not detoriate
    • Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills and wrenches to precision measuring instruments, electrical and electronic testing devices
    • Assemble, install and/ or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery and equipment
    • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, check blue prints, repair manuals and parts’ catalogs as necessary
    • Ensure proper forms of documentation are produced at all times e.g receipts. The Complex Manager should sign all documents for each work done in respective complexes

    Assistant Facilities Manager


    Assistant Facilities Manager Job Responsibilities

    • Keeps general records of maintenance tasks performed
    • Maintains facilities plans and generates work orders to complete required preventative maintenance tasks
    • Maintains all required records and documentation
    • Receives and responds to all work orders submitted
    • Assist in creation of facilities contracts
    • Assist in coordination of annual inspections/certifications
    • Ensures follow-through and assists in all tenant requests and complaints
    • Completes daily maintenance department paperwork in a timely manner
    • Attends property staff meetings as requested
    • Maintains sufficient supplies, materials and equipment for departmental operations, while maintaining inventory levels and cost control
    • Orders, receives and verifies shipments of supplies and other departmental items based on quality, quantity and price
    • Ensure security and confidentiality of property information
    • Ensuring the cleanliness of the entire building

    Requirements for the Assistant Facilities Manager Job

    • A minimum of two years of facilities management experience
    • High school graduate or equivalent
    • Basic computer skills
    • Bilingual in written and verbal (English/Kiswahili) preferred
