Nurse Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides first-aid treatments and medications for employees as needed.
• Assess and determine the health status of the employee and make recommendation for sick offs/leave
• Work with health & safety team to plan and implement programs designed to improve the overall health of employees.
• Refers/ transports ill employees to the hospital as necessary.
• Prepares purchase or requisition of medicines as necessary to ensure availability of all medical supplies.
• Constructs health and safety awareness programs among employees.
• Maintains all employees medical and other similar records.
• Schedules and implements annual/ periodical/ special examination of employees.
• Assess employee’s examination results and refer to company physician for management; monitor recommendations and follow through until illness is cleared.
• Engage in research activities related to nursing.
• Support in recruitment processing and other related activities.
• Performs general affairs tasks and activities such as coordination and processing of documents.

Qualifications for the Nurse Job

• Diploma in Nursing from KMTC or any other recognized institution.
• Must be a registered nurse.
• At least 2 years’ experience working in a manufacturing company / corporate as a health care practitioner or company nurse

S/He will be tasked with a duty to assist and support the Farm Manager with the operational activities of the packhouse, managing the team and ensuring operational plans are implemented and outcomes achieved.

Packhouse Manager Job Roles and Responsibilities

• Management of the pack house operations including all pack house staff and operations
• Leadership and direction in the pack house processes and documentation.
• Develop & Implement crop packaging planning and scheduling of supply budgets
• Analyze and report on post-harvest financial parameters established for the site.
• Report grower production data for reconciliation purposes
• Ensure compliance to packhouse safety operating procedures of staff for all equipment and machinery on site and maintain facilities to a compliant standard at all times.
• Develop and train a team of pack house staff.
• Manage plant and equipment, building assets and maintenance schedules
• Manage and ensure all packhouse technical specifications are implemented, managed, recorded, monitored and audited.

Minimum Requirements for the Packhouse Manager Job

• Degree in an agricultural related discipline.
• At least 5 years’ experience in Horticulture /Floriculture packhouse
• Health & Safety: Awareness of H&S legislative requirements, and experience in the implementation of these
• Experience in managing and working within a set budget
• A good understanding of numerical or financial information
• MS- Office competent
