    Data Clerk

    Requirements

    • Diploma in business administration or related field
    • Proven experience as data entry clerk at least for 2 years
    • Data entry experience in a NGO project would be an added advantage.
    • Fast typing skills; Knowledge of touch typing system is strongly preferred
    • Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)
    • Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices

    M&E Officer

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in social statistics or related discipline with at least 4 years of experience in M&E work.
    • Knowledge and experience in performing M&E tasks in donor funded projects.

    Economic Empowerment officer (EEO)

    Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

    • Leading the livelihoods needs assessments within project’s target groups and areas of operation.
    • Providing leadership in developing innovative livelihood strengthening programs and intervention that are consistent with project’s child protection mandate.
    • Managing and ensuring the effective implementation of livelihood interventions across the organization’s programs through proper targeting and result oriented approaches.
    • Building the capacity of CSOs/ LIPs /CHVs in managing and supporting livelihood interventions.
    • In charge of developing, disseminating and orienting staff on livelihood programme management and monitoring tools.
    • Coordinate with Project Team to provide technical support in OVC Household Economic Strengthening programming.
    • Support in the development of the project strategy and monitor implementation.
    • Coordinate with staff to assure full community participation and visit each project activities at least on a regular basis to monitor or provide technical assistance
    • Maintain oversight of relationships and compliance with donor regulations and grant requirements.
    • Actively promote best practices and a shared, vision of quality assurance of monitoring and evaluation through an improved standard of OVC Household Economic Strengthening programming.
    • Ensure the application of “Do no Harm Principles” in OVC Household Economic Strengthening programming while strengthening community mobilization strategies to reduce stigmatization.
    • Maintain and avail appropriate technical resources.
    • Build and maintain productive relationships with the livelihood support systems and programs at community level so as to leverage livelihood support opportunities for the target groups and communication with key relevant contact people
    • Actively communicate and publicize the project’s livelihoods strengthening interventions among relevant stakeholders
    • In charge of supporting the M&E Team in ensuring that livelihood interventions are properly monitored and evaluated
    • Provide written feedback to supervisor’s questions and concerns on reports to support monitoring progress using indicators and the standardized program tools and formats.
    • Actively coordinate with the M&E team to ensure timely quality reports.
    • Support in the development and implementation of periodic project evaluation support (i.e. monitoring visits, midterm and final evaluation).
    • Support in the planning and ultimately support the annual budgeting process.

    Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

    • Degree in Agriculture, Agriculture Economics, Community Development, Project planning and Management or any other Business related fields
    • Additional training in income generation/entrepreneurship, monitoring and evaluation, HIV/AIDS, gender analysis mainstreaming, micro-finance/micro insurance and OVC programming is an added advantage.
    • Four or more years’ consistent experience in -household economic strengthening support role with a large scale NGO.
    • Past experience in leveraging private public partnerships is preferred.
    • Past experience in building and maintaining productive relations, institutional linkages required with implementing and strategic partner agencies.
    • ·     Past experience working with communities on saving methodologies (VSLA, SILC, Table Banking, etc.), entrepreneurship and small business management, promoting livelihoods through agriculture and rural enterprise development, knowledge in micro-finance and financial inclusion principles and practices. Past experience in OVC programming will be an added advantage.
    • S  Supportive, attitude towards processes of strengthening staff capacity;
    • Leadership qualities, personnel and team management including mediation and conflict resolution;
    • Proven skills in critical thinking, assessment and analysis; strong-competency in conceptualizing and designing strategic frameworks;
    • Excellent communication, team building and training skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relations in and outside the organization;
    • Proven ability in report writing and presentation to Management and other stake holders
    • Keen attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and work independently and cooperatively with team members.
    • Demonstrated personal accountability; respect for others, and a drive to serve.
    • Strong English language oral and written communication skills required, along with strong
    • Computer literacy skills i.e. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet) required.
    • Desire to work effectively in a team oriented environment.
    • Familiarity with using household vulnerability assessment tools a plus.
    • Ability to travel within rural areas in coast region.

    Project Officers

    Project Officer Job Responsibilities in Kenya

    • Oversees and coordinates Nilinde project activities within designated County.
    • Upholds compliance regulations within USAID and GOK requirements.
    • Provides continuous support supervision to local implementing partners and community health volunteers.
    • Supports LIPs and CHVs, conduct OVC assessment, recruitment and vulnerability profiling through household assessments
    • Prepares weekly briefs and monthly project monitoring reports for respective county for submission to the- Amurt Nilinde Project Manager.
    • Ensures effective collaborations with other Project partners and stakeholders is maintained within county of operation in keeping with Nilinde Model.
    • Assists the project conduct capacity building of LIPs / workers including CHVs and social workers in collaboration with Nilinde partners
    • Ensures efficient project performance through effective management and clear communication within project team.
    • Contributes to the documentation of lessons learnt, best practices and knowledge sharing for continuous improvement of the Project

    Qualifications for Project Officer

    • Bachelor’s degree in Community Development, Social Science, or other related studies or Diploma holder in the equivalent field with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in project implementation.
    • At least three years’ relevant experience implementing OVC projects and community development
    • Good understanding of social determinants of Health and their related interventions including Household Economic Strengthening (HES) approaches.
    • Knowledge of development issues, trends, challenges and opportunities related to OVC and HIV programming.
    • Experience with partnership building, networking and collaboration with GOK, county governments and other actors including the private sector
    • Knowledge in USAID compliance and donor reporting requirements strongly desired
    • High level of integrity, values, ethics and attitudes that align with principles of Plan’s Child Protection Policy.
