    Service Desk Officer

    Responsibilities for the Service Desk Officer Job

    • To coordinate the activities of the service desk and execute administrative duties within the IT department. The Service Desk Officer will ensure that:
    • All incidents are logged in the incident management system, are escalated appropriately and feedback is provided to users continuously from analysis to when the issue is eventually resolved.
    • All changes are logged in the change management system and tracked efficiently until they are implemented in production.
    • All administration tasks including but not limited to systems monitoring, housekeeping activities, maintenance of the fixed assets register, software licenses, version control and libraries maintained are carried out effectively.
    • Provide appropriate input for daily production meeting to ensure that all incidents, problems and changes are correctly assigned
    • Systems monitoring to ensure that we have minimal service disruptions and ultimately meet the required uptime. (40%)
    • General IT support activities on noncore applications software and hardware. (20%)
    • Incident management in accordance to the laid down procedures and SLAs. (20%)
    • Problem and Change management in accordance to the laid down procedures and SLAs. (10%)
    • Compliance with policies and procedures attaining satisfactory audit ratings. (10%)

    Qualifications for the Service Desk Officer Job

    • Able to communicate effectively; both verbally and in writing
    • Capable of working independently and is a good team member
    • Proactive and a selfstarter who requires minimal supervision
    • Strong analytical skills coupled with the ability to think logically
    • Effective organizer and ability to execute complex simultaneous tasks
    • High propensity for executing change
    • Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with and manage customer expectations
      (internal and external), and other stakeholders who impact performance
    • Knowledge and effective application of all relevant banking policies, processes, procedures
      and guidelines to consistently achieve required compliance standards or benchmarks
    • Selfempowerment to enable development of open communication, teamwork and trust that
      are needed to support true performance and customerservice oriented culture
    • Selfmotivated, assertive and proactive
    • Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or any other technology related field
    • Upper second or equivalent
    • Proficiency in office automation and banking technologies.
    • 2 years’ work experience in general IT systems support and administration.
    • Good understanding of the principles and techniques of IT service managements as outlined
      in ITIL
    • Strong troubleshooting/problem assessment skills
    • Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal

    Business Development Manager

    Responsibilities for the Business Development Manager Job

    • To market and sell the Bancassurance products to the bank customers and other suitable prospects through direct approach and referrals.
    • The job function involves designing, implementing and coordinating the branch bancassurance sales strategy, crafting marketing initiatives aimed at sustaining portfolio growth and achieving sales and income targets.
    • The job includes supporting completion and processing of applications; administration of service delivery by the service providers; and providing customer services to optimize customer satisfaction.
    • The incumbent will also provide product and process training to relevant customercontact staff in all branches and business units
    • Achievement of personal & team sales targets for Insurance products and other bancassurance services (50%)
    • Quality of customer portfolio maintenance and renewal/cancellation services (20%)
    • Adequacy of personal competence to effectively perform relationship management tasks for Bancassurance (15%)
    • Management of customer expectations (15%)

    Qualifications for the Business Development Manager Job

    • Excellent Interpersonal skills. Team player and able to work with minimum supervision
    • Selling and negotiation skills to prospect and close business to grow customer numbers and customer product uptake
    • Intimate knowledge of Insurance products
    • Planning & organizing skills for effective time utilization in achieving the objectives of the position.
    • An understanding of the insurance legal environment and compliance issues related to Insurance sales
    • An understanding and application of commercial and financial principles. Ability to view issues in terms of costs, profits, risks, markets and added value.
      Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with and manage customer expectations (internal and external), and other stakeholders who impact performance.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Training techniques to structure and conduct training to the channel personnel
    • Technical and relationship management skills to effectively perform the mix of activities/tasks in a manner that consistently achieves high quality standards or benchmarks.
    • Shows awareness of goals and quality standards. Follows through to ensure that quality and productivity standards are met.
    • Good presentation, influencing and negotiation skills
    • University Degree Upper 2nd Class or equivalent.
    • At least 3 years working experience with insurance providers. Sales experience in insurance is an added advantage
    • COP in Insurance would be an added advantage. Successful candidate will be required to sit and pass the exams within 6 months of joining.
    • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Packages
