    Banking Officer

    Responsible for marketing Banks’ products and services in churches, SMEs and Institutions to recruit and intake of new customers, processing and disbursement of loans and ensure timely collection of the same to ensure healthy portfolio and happy satisfied customers.

    Responsibilities for the Banking Officer Job

    • To champion SME product in the Branches.
    • Prospect new SME clients and assist in loan application.
    • Conduct and ensure proper loan appraisals to be measured by approval success rate.
    • Prepare and execute loan contracts and arrange for disbursement of loans.
    • Ensure client retention through excellent customer service and maintain a good relationship
      with existing SME customers.
    • Engage in proper Know Your Customer (KYC) Vetting of clients using supporting documents
      and SME appraisal tools.
    • Compliance to audit standards and company policies and procedures.
    • Ensure periodic SME training is carried out at the branch to enhance awareness and cross
      selling.
    • Ensure timely loan repayments through aggressive follow ups.
      Delinquency and default management actions as per credit policy.
    • Mobilize deposits in line with branch targets

    Qualifications for the Banking Officer Job

    • A undergraduate Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or equivalent.
    • Knowledge in Sales and Marketing, credit risk management, credit lending
    • At least 2 years’ experience in the financial sector with proven and demonstrable ability to grow
    • SME business (for candidates applying for SME & Institutional Banking).
    • Proficiency in computers is mandatory.
    • Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements
    • Clear understanding of microfinance/banking industry is an added advantage.
    • Good interpersonal & communication skills with excellent customer service.
    • A team player with the drive to improve performance.
    • Persuasive with strong recognition skills,
    • Self-driven and possess the ability to work with minimum supervision
    • Ability to work independently under minimum supervision.

    Business Development Officer

    Business Development Officer Job Responsibilities

    • Responsible for business development through marketing and recruiting of customers, processing and
      disbursement of loans and ensure timely collection of the same to ensure healthy portfolio and a happy
      and satisfied customer base.
    • Responsible for Marketing of Banks products and services
    • Facilitate recruitment and registration of clients in existing and new groups
    • Stimulate client training on SMEP policies, procedures and basic business skills, loans, business,
      e.t.c.
    • Ensure that all clients contribute weekly savings and repay their loans on time
    • Responsible to evaluate clients’ businesses and determine whether they are worth the amount applied for
    • Responsible for client evaluations and loan processing.
    • Responsible for maintaining a quality asset portfolio as per the Banks requirements
    • Responsible for preparation and submissions of timely daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports as per the Banks’ requirements to the respective Office Holders.
    • Responsible for recording, verifying and assessing the chattels offered for loans with assistance of
      the Branch Manager
    • Ensure follow-up of defaulters and collection of arrears
    • Responsible for record keeping for all clients e.g. savings, loan status etc.

    Direct Sales Representatives

     DSR 04/17/HRD

    Responsible for selling the Banks’ Products and Services to the various target market segments. This is on short term contract engagement with opportunities for permanent engagement subject to availability of opportunities and surpassing performance targets for the period of contract engagement.

    The successful candidates will be paid on commission basis based on their productivity on various parameters.

    Responsibilities for the Direct Sales Job

    • Responsible for Marketing of Banks products and services
    • Prospecting and on-boarding of new customers into SMEP MFB
    • Meeting the sales targets on selected Banks’ Products and Services
    • Upholding and promoting of the Banks’ Brand in their respective regions through professional customer interaction as well as excellent customer service

    Qualifications for the Direct Sales Job

    • A minimum of C+ (plus) in KCSE
    • An undergraduate Degree or Diploma in a Business Related course.
    • Experienced in Sales and Marketing will be an added advantage.
    • Proficiency in computers is mandatory.
    • Clear understanding of microfinance/banking industry is an added advantage.
    • Good interpersonal & communication skills with excellent customer service.
    • A team player who is self driven and persuasive.

    Branch Manager

    The successful candidates will be responsible for steering the Branch into high level performance through proper supervision, people management and enforcing a customer centric culture at the Branch.

    Responsibilities for the Branch Manager Job

    • Take the leadership role at the Branch and mentor the Branch staff towards the achievement of the Banks’ Mission, Vision and the 2016-2020 Strategic Objectives.
    • Ensure the Branch attains the set targets in the following parameters; High standards of Customer Service, Customer Retention, Deposits, Healthy Loan Portfolio.
    • Develop and maintain critical relationships at the Branch to enhance business Development
    • Oversee the branch growth in Low cost Deposits and number of customers which fully funds the loan book.
    • Enhance relationships with SME’s, High Net worth Individuals, Churches and Institutions to grow business.
    • Ensure the Loans to deposit Ratio is maintained as per strategy
    • Maintain a healthy balance of deposits portfolio on Church, SME, and Retail and Corporate deposits.
    • Implement strategies on penetration of business segments, markets and sectors.
    • Ensure growth of liabilities business including transactional, alternate and direct banking business.
    • Ensure staff productivity is maintained through support, mentorship, and TAT and customer service.
    • Ensure compliance with both internal and external regulatory requirements.
    • Working closely with risk and compliance units to ensure effective controls to mitigate against business risks associated with Business.

    Qualifications for the Branch Manager Job

    • Minimum of 5 years banking experience; both in Banking Operations and Credit Management, 2 of which must have been in a supervisory or managerial position in a commercial Bank.
    • Good people Management skills and proven ability to achieve results through others
    • Have excellent negotiation, sales and marketing skills
    • Strong customer centric skills
      Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
    • Good communication skills
    • Self-driven, results-oriented individual with a positive outlook
    • Must have a clear focus on high quality and business profit
    • Able to get on with others and be a team-player with excellent interpersonal skills
    • Between 33 to 42 years of age
    • Undergraduate university degree in Business related field

    ICT Support Officer

    The successful candidate will be reporting to the IT Projects and Applications Manager.

    Responsibilities for the ICT Support Officer Job

    • Monitoring, performance optimization and reporting on Alternative Banking Channels; Mobile banking, ATM, Agency, Merchants and other integrations support.
    • Undertaking the Close of Business processes, backups, reports delivery and other IT operations
    • Supporting implementation and rollout of IT projects and applications within acceptable time and cost.

    • Graduate in Information Technology from a recognised University or equivalent
    • At least 2 years experience in applications and projects support in a financial services environment
    • Demonstrate relevant skills or certification on Applications, Projects and User support
    • Strong analytical skills, technical skills and very keen with details
