    Finance Chief Officers

    The office holder shall be the Accounting Officer and Authorized Officer in the respective department and shall be responsible to the CEC Member in charge of the Department.

    Finance Chief Officers Job Responsibilities

    • The Administration of a County Department;
    • Development, Implementation of Strategic Plans and Sector Development Plans;
    • Implementation of policies and programmes;
    • Providing strategic policy direction for effective service delivery;
    • Manage human resource in the department;
    • Ensure provision of assets and tools of work;
    • Ensure financial accountability of the department;
    • Exercise of any of the County Public Service Board functions as my be delegated by the Board pursuant to section 86(1) of the County Government Act, 2012;
    • Planning and implementation of effective programmes to attain Vision 2030, sector goals and SDGs;
    • Ensuring compliance with national values and principles of good governance as outlined in Article 10 and 232 of the Constitution of Kenya; and,
    • Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the appointing authority.

    Requirements for the Finance Chief Officers Job

    • Be a Kenyan Citizen;
    • Have a Bachelor degree in a related field;
    • Possession of Master’s degree in a related field will be an added advantage;
    • Have vast knowledge and experience of not less than 5 years in senior positions in the public service or private sector;
    • Demonstrate thorough understanding of County development and objectives;
    • Be a strategic thinker and result oriented;
    • Have excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills;
    • Have capacity to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines;
    • Be conversant with relevant National and County legislation;
    • Member of a professional association;
    • Have a working experience and knowledge of using computers;
    • Demonstrate understanding and commitment to the values and principles espoused in Article 10 and 232 of the Constitution of Kenya;
    • Satisfy the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya;

    Terms of Service: Contract

    Salary: As prescribed by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC)
