    Business Development Regional Officer

    Job Description

    Our client is a progressive London based university with diverse community of students, academics and partner organizations around the world.

    They seek to hire a business development regional officer who will be tasked with supporting the international recruitment process and implementing marketing plans.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Supporting the international recruitment & marketing plans that will drive growth in international student recruitment to our London campus from the Southern Africa region
    • Provide support and drive recruitment to the other 3 international campuses.
    • Achieve set targets for student recruitment through a mixture of effective marketing, sales and conversion activity
    • Build and manage relationships and act as the main point of contact for our various partners in the region.
    • Implement the marketing strategy as provided by the Regional Manager for Africa.
    • Feedback on appropriate business development opportunities which can support the growth of the business. i.e. looking at new academic partnerships and feeder institutions.
    • Work effectively within a team based in Nairobi to support growth of student numbers to all Campuses.
    • To manage relationships with our various existing partners in Southern Africa. Such partners include agents, schools and feeder colleges.
    • To provide interested students with exceptional support and customer service to assist them in applying to the University.
    • Travel to various events across Southern Africa representing the university to the highest standards.
    • Manage activities for marketing research, planning and communications efforts directed at increasing sales of company products and services to key target industries
    • Organize and coordinate marketing events and promotional activities.

    Qualifications

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or related fields
    • A Master’s Degree is an added advantage
    • Experience in a target driven sales environment
    • Experience in implementing marketing campaigns focused around lead generation, engagement and conversion,
    • Good organizational skills,
    • Strong communication skills in an international environment,
    • Basic understanding of digital marketing channels and social media

    Our client is a leading motorcycle manufacturing company based in Nairobi. They seek to recruit a highly competent individual to fill the position of a Personal Driver who will be tasked driving the regional manager and family.

    Job Responsibilities

    • To drive the manager to/from office, appointments, meetings and etc.

    • To operate assigned vehicle in a safe and courteous manner

    • To recognize vehicle maintenance needs
    • To undertake ad-hoc assignment or duties assigned by management when required

    Qualifications

    Our client is a leading food products distribution company in Kenya. They seek to hire a diligent, organized debt collector to follow up on delayed payment on behalf of the company.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Keep track of assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts
    • Plan course of action to recover outstanding payments
    • Locate and contact debtors to inquire of their payment status, by calling and visiting.
    • Negotiate payoff deadlines or payment plans
    • Handle questions or complaints from the customers
    • Investigate and resolve discrepancies
    • Create trust relationships with debtors when possible to avoid future issues
    • Update accounts status and database regularly and give reports
    • Alert superiors of debtors unwilling or unable to pay when necessary
    • Comply with legal requirements always and when legal action is unavoidable
    • Record and update full and complete account information to aid in account resolution.
    • Follow up on promise to pay and payment commitment accounts to ensure a positive resolution and client satisfaction

    Requirements

    • Proven experience as debt collector for 2-3years
    • Must have CPA-K and atleast 1 year experince as an accountant
    • Experience in working with targets and tight deadlines
    • Knowledge of relevant legal requirements
    • Working knowledge of MS Office and databases
    • Excellent communication and people skills
    • Great negotiating and persuading skills
    • Ability to be polite and compassionate without lacking confidence and persistence

    Credit Officer

    Job Description

    Our client is a SME based in Nairobi and in business of imports and distribution of pesticides to farmers and farms in Kenya.

    They seek to hire an individual who will be responsible for support in credit management, reviewing non-performing assets book and developing appropriate strategies to ensure timely recovery of amounts due, with minimum loss exposure.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Contribute in design and implementation of an elaborate company credit control policy.
    • Take part in the review of company credit control procedure, develop and implement enhancements.
    • Set and monitor company credit limit to ensure acceptable level of risk exposure.
    • Take part in design and implement an appropriate means of collections with assistance of Credit Manager,
    • Field Sales Staff and ensure that Direct Debit Payment System among clients is appropriately monitored and documented.
    • Assist in generation of legal documents for use in the credit function.
    • Initiate the vetting of new credit clients and review existing credit clients.
    • Be the custodian of company debtors’ record for the overall debtors’ asset portfolio.
    • Maintain accurate and up to date clients’ accounts records by setting up and maintaining client files.
    • Reconcile transactions and balances regularly to maintain debtors’ accurate accounts.
    • Obtain and maintain sufficient information to assess the credit worthiness of new and existing clients.
    • Ensure that payments are correctly allocated, to the appropriate account and against the appropriate invoice(s).
    • Maintain regular clients and Field Sales Staff contact to ensure timely collection of due debts.
    • Prepare monthly collection target for Company clients and Field Sales Staff and ensure that targets are achieved at all times.
    • Handle any disputed accounts to ensure that payments are in line with company credit policy.
    • Trace down missing debtors.
    • Analyze the company debt portfolio on monthly basis to establish high risk accounts for reporting and recommend for resolution.
    • Undertake complex reconciliations and compilation of necessary support documents for bad debts.
    • Initiate and enforce ‘Stop Supply Orders’ to overdue accounts.
    • Negotiate payment schedule with bad debtors, clients in financial difficulties or arrange for goods possession or re-possession to cover for the outstanding debt.
    • Identify bad debt accounts requiring assistance of collection agency or legal action and co-ordinate collections with the third party contractors.

    Qualifications

    • A Degree in Business Administration or Finance or its equivalent
    • CPAK, ACCA or its equivalent
    • Conversant with Tally and other computer accounting packages
    • On job training in Debt management in related field would be an added advantage.
    • Good interpersonal skills with ability to build personal relationships with clients
    • Good intercultural orientation and strong public relations skills
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision
    • Ability to visit clients all over the country once in a while
    • Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical/problem solving skills
    • Computer skills
    • Fluent in English
