    Relationship Officer - Agribusiness

    Job Description

    Responsible for marketing Banks’ Agribusiness products and services to the target market and recruitment of new customers, processing and disbursement of loans and ensure timely collection of the same to ensure healthy portfolio and happy satisfied customers.

    KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Implementation of the Banks’ Agribusiness strategy
    • Championing market and product development in Agribusiness
    • Coordinate research in agribusiness interventions
    • Managing relations with agribusiness agencies, donors, and other stakeholders
    • Development of agribusiness training programs for staff, farmers and other stakeholders
    • Deep understanding of Agribusiness Value Chain Financing concept
    • Professional maturity and ability to operate in a fast paced, competitive work environment
    • Loan disbursements and deposit mobilization that meet defined growth and quality targets
    • Agribusiness reporting
    • Responsible for cumulating and maintaining agribusiness information
    • Maintain good public relation between SMEP and stakeholders e.g. Public administration, farming communities, business community etc

    Qualifications and experience:

    • A minimum grade of C+ (plus) in KCSE
    • Bachelors degree in a Agri-business related field
    • Have knowledge in group/individual agri-business lending
    • Demonstrable skills in strong leadership, marketing and reporting
    • Advanced Computer literacy
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Persuasive with strong recognition skills,
    • Self-driven and possess the ability to work with minimum supervision
    • Have good knowledge of the micro-finance industry and practices and
    • A self-starter who possesses excellent presentation skills
    • Aged between 30 and 40 years

    Risk & Compliance Officer

    Job Description

    Reporting to the Risk & Compliance Manager, the job holder will be part of the team responsible for the Bank’s overall enterprise risk management and compliance framework.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Implementation of the Risk and Compliance framework and Policies in the Bank.
    • Monitoring and tracking of Banks’ compliance to regulatory guidelines statutory requirements and internal processes and procedures.
    • Identification and assessment of the compliance risks associated with the bank’s current and proposed future business activities, including new products, new business relationships and processes
    • Continuous monitoring of compliance with internal policies, procedures and guidelines by through regular and comprehensive Risk and Control assessment and testing
    • Providing assurance of the bank’s readiness in case of business interruption/disruption through regular reviews of the unit BCP plans.
    • Responsible for monitoring compliance and reporting for Anti Money Laundering and Counter Financing of Terrorism
    • Providing regular training of staff to build on risk management and compliance awareness
    • Reviewing and providing advise on corporate governance management
    • Regular reviewing of transactions to ensure that high risk transactions are identified and appropriately approved.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors’ degree in Accountancy, Finance or Business Administration.
    • Must have acquired professional certification in Accountancy or Auditing
    • Post graduate degree will be an added advantage
    • Proficiency in MS Office suite and previous experience with T24 Banking system will be an added advantage.
    • At least 2 years experience in a Compliance, Risk or Internal Audit role in a reputable Banking institution
    • Keen to detail and sharp analytical skills
    • Excellent report writing skills
    • An excellent and proactive planner with great organization skills
    • Flexible and willing to travel across the country at short notice
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills

    SME & Institution Banking Officers

    Job Description

    Responsible for marketing Banks’ products and services in churches, SMEs and Institutions to recruit and intake of new customers, processing and disbursement of loans and ensure timely collection of the same to ensure healthy portfolio and happy satisfied customers.

    KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • To champion SME product in the Branches.
    • Prospect new SME clients and support in loan application.
    • Conduct and ensure proper loan appraisals to be measured by approval success rate.
    • Prepare and execute loan contracts and arrange for disbursement of loans.
    • Ensure client retention through excellent customer service and maintain a good relationship with existing SME customers.
    • Engage in proper Know Your Customer (KYC) Vetting of clients using supporting documents and SME appraisal tools.
    • Compliance to audit standards and company policies and procedures.
    • Ensure periodic SME training is carried out at the branch to enhance awareness and cross selling.
    • Ensure timely loan repayments through aggressive follow ups.
    • Delinquency and default management actions as per credit policy.
    • Mobilize deposits in line with branch targets

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE FOR BDOs & SME OFFICERS:

    • A minimum grade of C+ (plus) in KCSE
    • A undergraduate Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business related courses from a recognized institution.
    • Knowledge in Sales and Marketing, credit risk management, credit lending
    • At least 2 years’ experience in the financial sector with proven and demonstrable ability to growSME business (for candidates applying for SME & Institution Banking).
    • Proficiency in computers is mandatory. 
    • Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements
    • Clear understanding of microfinance/banking industry is an added advantage.
    • Good interpersonal & communication skills with excellent customer service.
    • A team player with the drive to improve performance.
    • Persuasive with strong recognition skills,
    • Self-driven and possess the ability to work with minimum supervision
    • Ability to work independently under minimum supervision.
    • Aged between 26 and 35 years
