    Communications Officer - NGO

    Job Description

    They seek to hire a highly motivated and creative individual to fill a Communication Officer position.

    Location: Outskirts of Nairobi

    Gross Salary: 60k-80K

    Responsibilities

    • Management of Communication plans, marketing, Initiatives and Processes
    • Provide Support on Resource Mobilization
    • Support Company’s Public Relations and brand expression processes
    • Designing, Production and Dissemination of Corporate Materials
    • Management of Company’s Website and social media platforms
    • Manage Media Relationships
    • Facilitate Documentation (Newsletters, stock answers to frequently asked questions, Publications), Sharing and Learning
    • Database: Manage email contacts and internal folders and files for the communications department;
    • Writing for web and summarizing technical and complex content into non-specialist language
    • Writing policy briefs, press releases, liaise with journalists and respond to media and other influencers

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications
    • At least 4 years work experience (with development, or philanthropy experience)
    • Must have excellent computer skills including the ability to operate spread sheets and word processing
    • Posses strong leadership skills and a person of high level integrity
    • A portfolio of prior work done will be required
    • Effective spoken and written communication skills
    • Good Public Relations, Marketing and communication skills
    • 33 years old and above

    HR Officer - NGO

    Location: Outskirts of Nairobi

    Responsibilities

    • Organizational development to express new company brand and strategic plan
    • Supervise and provide consultation to management on strategic staffing plans
    • Staff selection, recruitment and staffing management; mentoring & Coaching.
    • Budget management through optimization of resources.
    • Staff Performance management, & improvement systems; Training and Development
    • Policy update, development and documentation
    • Employee safety, welfare, wellness and health; staff team building activities
    • Compensation and benefits administration System; Staff job evaluation
    • Administration and logistical Support; Manage and provide analyzed reports from biometric system.
    • Advice management Labour laws and relations
    • Monitor scheduled absences such as leave or travel and coordinate actions to ensure the staff absence has been adequately covered off to ensure continuity of Services.
    • Administers performance review program through appraisals to ensure effectiveness, compliance and equity within organization.
    • Prepares reports and recommends procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration
    • At Least 3-5 years’ experience as a HR Officer
    • Must be a licensed practitioner
    • Must have excellent computer skills including the ability to operate spread sheets and word processing
    • Effective spoken and written communication skills
    • Good interpersonal skills, and analytical skills
    • 35 years old and above
