We are avechi.com, a growing ecommerce platform in Kenya.

We are looking for a young passionate and talented graphic designer (with a knack for social media), who is looking for an opportunity to grow and build a thriving digital platform using their skills

Pay:

• Successful applicants will undergo 1 to 3 months internship
• Internship pay: Ksh.15,000 to 24,000 based on skill sets
• Job offer will be made based on performance in internship

Your work will revolve:

• Creating/sourcing new graphics (images, banners) on a daily basis for our web platform and its social media channels
• Assist in the creation and deployment of UI/UX designs on our web platform
• Updating/creating corporate marketing materials to meet specific goals (digital)
• Developing a library of branding internal communication templates.
• Coming up with creative content for social media (Facebook, Instagram, You-tube)
• Assist in creation and editing of videos clips for publishing on You-tube

Requirements:

• Must be very creative: Capable of coming up with creative ideas and concepts
• Good knowledge in the following software packages: Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Premiere, After Effects Software
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; must work effectively as part of a team

Successful applicants will undergo 3 months internship

• Internship pay: Ksh.15,000 to Ksh.20,000 depending on skill sets
• Job offer will be made upon successful completion of internship

Job Description

• Must have the ability to write professionally and creatively about smartphones and gadgets and be able to create compelling content that engages our users.
• Compose, edit and post compelling blog reviews about smart phones on our website on a daily basis.
• Partake in creation of compelling video reviews about our electronic products for posting on YouTube and Facebook
• Assist in management of our user community (responding to queries about our products etc)
• Assist in product data management on our website.
• Implementation and execution of SEO strategies for all content on our website platform
• Using video editing software to edit photographs and video for publishing
• Stay up to date with technology trends in the market and willing to become an authority on writing about smartphones and other electronic gadgets

Job Qualifications

• B+ and above in both Mathematics and English in KCSE  (Indicate your grades in cv)
• Excellent grammatical and writing skills
• Great verbal, communication and presentation skills
• Lover of things tech related.   Should be a ‘tech freak’
• High attention to detail and able to meet strict deadlines
• Good organizational skills including prioritizing, time management and multi-tasking
• Knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics will be a plus
