    Information Systems Auditor - Internal Audit

    JOB PURPOSE

    Our company is currently looking for an Information Systems Auditor. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the success of the organisation.

    This position will report to the Head – Internal Audit.

    The job holder will be responsible for monitoring the bank’s IT infrastructure and identify areas of internal control weaknesses and non-compliance within the institute's procedures and provide sound and practical recommendations to management.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES

    • Perform detailed evaluation of internal control and audit reviews of computer information systems and infrastructure.
    • Perform assessments of all new and existing systems (including peripheral/interfaced applications)
    • Reviewing new applications systems development acquisitions or major changes to existing systems i.e. analysis, design and identified inherent risks
    • Reviewing data and network security e.g. access controls, systems back-ups, segregation of duties, etc.
    • Reviewing documentation/procedures such as Service Level Agreements, IT contracts, DRP, programs and ICT policy.
    • Participating in audit assignments which will include IT, plus tasks assigned to other areas.
    • Quality assurance to ensure that all work delivered, including working papers, both meet the standards required as well as support the audit findings, recommendations and conclusions.
    • Ensure follow up on implementation of agreed audit recommendations tracked using Teammate Audit Management System.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Business-related field.
    • 3 years external audit work experience; specializing in Information Systems Audit from a reputable audit firm or extensive experience in Information Systems Audit within an internal audit function.
    • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), OR Certified Public Accountant (CPA Part II) will be an added advantage.
    • Good understanding of the concept of risk and risk assessment and experience in the use of CAAT’s.
    • Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of expertise and knowledge of software requirements for the auditing of computing systems and procedures.
    • Demonstrable working knowledge and experience in an ERP environment.

    Relationship Manager, Corporate Banking

    JOB PURPOSE

    Our company is currently looking for a Relationship Manager - Corporate Banking. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the success of the organization.

    This position will report to the Head – Corporate & Trade Finance.

    The job holder will be responsible for establishing, developing and pro-actively maintaining a portfolio of corporate customers, who require routine as well as complex structured trade finance and other corporate services to generate revenue for the bank.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES

    • Grow the bank’s revenues from both new and existing clients by enhancing transactional, trade and foreign exchange volumes, while managing costs to enhance profitability.
    • Identify potential new business opportunities and consistently generate innovative ideas for implementing new business opportunities to open corporate accounts and grow the liability book.
    • Develop an intimate understanding of the clients’ industry and business by analyzing their management practices, judgment of various influential decision makers, market conditions affecting the long-term viability of the business and industry sector and effectively use this knowledge to continually cross sell the bank’s products to ensure maximization of the customer wallet share.
    • Act as single point of accountability for corporate clients and consistently deliver high quality service to all internal & external customers, while maintaining confidentiality of customer information.
    • Ensure 100% compliance to KYC and AML policies and account opening procedures.
    • Stay updated on the security controls in place to protect the department against criminal and fraudulent activities and unnecessary risk and exposure.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
    • 5 years’ experience in relationship management or related relevant experience.

    Relationship Manager, Enterprise Banking

    JOB PURPOSE

    Our company is currently looking for a Relationship Manager, Enterprise Banking. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the success of the organization.

    This position will report to the Head – Enterprise Banking.

    The job holder will be responsible for on-boarding, managing existing and new commercial clients, integrating and coordinating all bank products, services and resources, to maximize the value of the business relationships while ensuring profitability for the bank and the client.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES

    • Provide advice on promoting, selling and structuring a wide and diverse range of financial solutions customised to best meet the financial needs of Large Commercial customers.
    • Develop a target market database of clients in the bank’s desired industries/sectors, have well defined call objectives and drive a robust calling program that will generate sales and business for the bank.
    • Mine and analyse customer data to identify and plan for expansion and/or additional business opportunities.
    • Provide an efficient central advisory / information / query handling service point for the portfolio.
    • Perform a proactive liaison role between customers, back office service operations and credit functions.
    • Interact frequently and closely with all clients to analyse needs, assist clients to better understand their financial requirements and tailor creative products to meet individual customer segment needs.
    • Accurately and efficiently process customer mandates/documentation requirements for financial facilities.
    • Explain and structure / customise credit loan facility options, parameters and qualifying criteria.
    • Work closely with Credit Analysts, Credit Managers and Head - Enterprise Banking, to initiate business deal proposals for new facilities or facility modifications that require the assessment of credit or other risks, and motivate the deal with insightful information regarding business strengths and vulnerabilities.
    • Notify customer promptly regarding the approval / decline of credit loan facilities and explore suitable alternative solutions in the event of declines from Credit Department.
    • Monitor referrals daily to ensure that client facilities are managed within the parameters set by Credit Department and exercise discretion regarding account conduct based on a close knowledge and understanding of client activities.
    • Proactively identify potential problem accounts and formulate appropriate risk mitigating strategies.
    • Manage a team of Relationship Managers to ensure that work standards and quality work output targets are set, achieved and maintained.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
    • At least Eight (8) years’ experience in Business / Commercial Banking relationship management of which five (5) must be in management level.
    • Good knowledge of the bank's products, services, procedures and policies, especially KYC & Anti-Money Laundering procedures.
    • Formal training in relationship management. Credit / lending knowledge is an added advantage.
    • Experience in a sales /customer service environment will be an added advantage.

    Relationship Manager - Institutional Banking

    JOB PURPOSE

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES

    • Grow a strong deposits portfolio mix from cash-rich Institutional Organizations, comprising of both fixed deposits, cheap and stable deposits, in line with Institutional Banking Department targets.
    • Develop customized and innovative products for particular customer segments that meets and exceeds customer expectations / needs while maximizing the bank’s profitability.
    • Keep constant and close touch with the clients, key business influencers in the market and relevant Government Ministries to keep abreast of developments in the market.
    • Employ proactive relationship management and effective customer service for full retention of existing clients’ business as well as implementing Value Chain Management.
    • Make regular client visits to review business requirements, assessing assets and securities held or offered and obtaining related financial documents to be able to put forward any new borrowing requests from the client.
    • Submitting regular call reports with recommendations for consideration by approving authorities.
    • Prepare regular and month-end business report detailing performance results as and when they are required.         

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration / Marketing or its equivalent from a recognized institution of higher learning. (Master’s degree in Business, Finance or its equivalent from a recognized institution, will be an added advantage).
    • Chartered Institute of Marketing Diploma or its equivalent; and Member of Associate of Kenya Institute of Bankers (AKIB) or its equivalent professional body.
    • At least 3 years relevant relationship management experience.
    • Knowledgeable in credit, legal (conveyancing) and lending knowledge.
    • Demonstrate an understanding of the Banking Act, CBK prudential guidelines and credit policies.

    • Setting up and growing the IPF product, both in value and interest income by 110%.

    • Establish strategic partnerships with insurance companies that lead to deposits mobilization.
    • Successful cross-selling of other bank products such as; Trade Finance, Corporate, FOREX etc.
    • Growing the Insurance Premium Finance book through targeted business development, such as signing up and managing partnerships with insurance companies to grow IPF business.
    • Coordinating insurance renewals for Bank Assets and offering premium financing solutions.
    • Establishing and enhancing existing and new business relationships with internal and external customers.
    • Offering excellent customer service and experience to customers.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
    • At least four (4) years’ experience in Insurance Sales / Bancassurance Department.
    • Good knowledge of insurance and bank's products, services, procedures and policies; especially KYC & Anti-Money Laundering procedures.

    Relationship Manager - Trade Finance

    JOB PURPOSE

    Our company is currently looking for a Relationship Manager - Trade Finance. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the success of the organization.

    This position will report to the Head - Corporate & Trade Finance.

    The job holder will be responsible for responsible for the implementation of the Trade Finance strategy, growth of Trade Finance incomes and business volumes through strategically targeting government agencies and large SMEs in the trade finance space, as well as mining prospective customers existing in the bank. He / she will be expected to ensure high level of customer satisfaction and compliance to internal procedures and operational controls.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES

    • To implement the Trade Finance strategy in line with the overall Trade Finance Strategy; to ensure achievement of profitability targets through revenue maximization and prudent cost management.
    • Drive the growth of Trade Finance incomes, business volumes and manage assigned portfolio; from the process of deal origination, structuring and credit approval to contracting and placement ensuring that the process is finalized within optimal time.
    • Provide expert advisory services on Trade Finance products, services, solutions and transactions to clients, colleagues and all other relevant stakeholders.
    • Prospect for new to bank clients in conjunction with Head - Trade Finance and other Relationship Managers and offer innovative and customised solutions.
    • Develop, implement and manage a range of innovative Trade Finance products and solutions so as to meet customer requirements and achieve the business objectives.
    • Enhance the uptake of Sidian Trade Finance products and services by existing and new clients, by providing technical product expertise and conducting joint calls in partnership with other relevant business units in the bank.
    • Track customer and competitor activity; analyze relevant market and industry data to identify opportunities for innovation and business growth.
    • Ensure timely submission of quality credit proposals in conformity with the Credit Policy guidelines.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
