    Principal, Technology Security Assurance Officer

    We are pleased to announce the following vacancy in the Security Department within the Technology Division.   In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.

    Reporting to the Senior Manager, Technology Security – Architecture, Design & Assurance, the position holder will support the Technology Security Assurance roles as required by the business.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Conduct periodic security reviews, vulnerability assessments & penetration tests across all of Safaricom’s systems/infrastructure
    • Ensure all new and existing systems/products/services comply with Safaricom’s security policies & standards and other industry best practices e.g. ISO27001, PCI, GDPR etc.
    • Provide timely and quality security assurance reports and advice to the business when required even with very tight deadlines
    • Do regular follow ups with system custodians/owners to ensure any security risks identified are addressed within the agreed timelines
    • Define technology security metrics and report periodically on security compliance across all networks/systems
    • Develop a monthly scorecard for each department based on how well they are performing in terms of Technology Security compliance
    • Research on new threats/technologies/vulnerabilities/security design principles etc.

    Requirements

    • Degree in Electrical Eng/Computer Science/Information Technology or other relevant Technical Degree
    • Advanced professional information security certifications e.g. CISSP/CISM/CISA/GIAC/CEH/CPTP/OSCP are preferred
    • Advanced Networking certifications: CCNA/CCNP/CCSP/CCIE are also preferred
    • Certifications in Microsoft Windows and Linux/Unix Operating Systems
    • Certifications in the use and administration of security tools e.g. Firewalls/IDS/Antivirus/Ethical Hacking tools
    • Certifications in Virtualization Technologies e.g. VMware, HyperV, EMC, Cisco UCS.

    Customer Retention Executive Contractor

    Description

    We are pleased to announce the following Contract Opportunity in Market Development Department within the Regional Sales & Operations Division.  In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.

    Brief Description

    Reporting to the In-life Manager-Home Channel, the position holder will be responsible for proactively initiating customer interactions and activities focused on increasing customer lifetime value. They will also conduct outbound campaigns to educate, sell products & services, resolve escalations, record responses, recommend resolutions and action requests from Safaricom Home Customers. 

    Job Responsibilities

    • Monitor & Manage all forms of churns within the channel for the Home Solutions products & services.
    • Educate & recruit specific segment customers on new and existing products within the Home Solutions portfolio.
    • Devise and implement strategies that will drive customer product stickiness within the specified segment.
    • Capture value from existing products through effective growth stimulation and new products adoption within Safaricom Home.
    • Drive continual customer upgrade strategies of Home Solutions products and services.
    • Track and reduce demand of Named Accounts segment through Safaricom channels (Not limited to line 400).
    • Conduct welcome, health check and churn prevention campaign initiatives.
    • Retain contracts at risk of termination and manage termination process.
    • Carry out external surveys to ascertain customer knowledge, perception and quality of service
    • Repeat Caller Follow through.
    • Safaricom Home Retention Folder Management.

    Requirements

    • Minimum – Diploma in a business or social discipline from a recognized institution. A degree is an added advantage.
    • At least 2 years working experience in a customer engaging environment, preferably in broadband sales or support.
    • Strong communication and selling skills
    • Proactive, confident, energetic and able to work under pressure with a positive attitude
    • Creative and complex problem solving skills
    • Self- motivating and requires minimum supervision
    • Project management skills

    Territory Account Relationship Manager SME

    We are pleased to announce the following vacancy in the SME, SoHo and Regional sales section of the Large Enterprise and Public Department within the Enterprise Business Unit Division. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below:

    Reporting to the Regional Manager, the role holder will meet overall NPS, revenue and acquisition targets for the assigned territory and work with Safaricom Business Partners to retain, develop, manage and expand the customer base and grow revenues.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Development of plans to achieve set billed revenue targets in the territory;
    • Increase product and Business solutions penetration through cross sell to named accounts, in assigned territory;
    • Ensure revenue growth by growing ARPA in the accounts through up sell;
    • Achieve the set NPS targets for the Accounts in the territory;
    • Ensure achievement of set churn targets for assigned accounts;
    • Develop strong relationships with customers at CxO to maintain ongoing revenue stream;
    • Ensure all accounts are managed through well thought out Account Development Plans;
    • Monitor and supervise  partner sales teams’ to achieve their assigned targets and ensure they have healthy sales pipelines to achieve the revenue targets;
    • Performance review with assigned Partner sales teams within the assigned territory and documentation of the same;
    • Maintain timely and 100% accurate territory reports on Partner sales teams review, competitor intelligence, Sales performance and all information relevant to the assigned territory.

    Requirements

    • Must have a minimum of 3 years’ corporate sales management experience in FMCG, Banking or Telkom industries;
    • Minimum 3 years sales management experiencience in a B2B/B2G environment in the target regions;
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience managing dealer channels in the target region;
    • Honors degree in Business Administration/Bachelor of Commerce degree from a recognized university;
    • Must have 3 years’ experience in managing dealers or an indirect channel preferably in FMCG;
    • Experience in managing indirect channel in a telecoms environment is an added advantage;
    • Strong business Acumen;
    • Team player with pleasant outgoing personality & resilience;
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills;
    • Proactive, confident, energetic & with ability to work under pressure
