    Student Intern.Supply Chain

    Job description

    To be eligible for the Kenya Airways Internship Program, you must be:

    • A citizen of Kenya A student pursuing an undergraduate degree/College diploma in an accredited university/college, who will continue his/her graduate studies or graduate right after the period of the internship.
    • Have a minimum grade of B (plain) in KCSE or equivalent O'level certification
    • Candidates afforded internship in the past by Kenya Airways are not eligible to apply

    Conditions of Internship

    • Kenya Airways does not provide medical insurance cover for Interns. Those selected for internship will be required to submit proof of medical insurance while at Kenya Airways.
    • Since the hiring for the Internship Program is done locally, Kenya Airways does not pay transportation costs whatsoever.
    • Because Internship Program is addressed to students who are pursuing their degree programs or diploma programs, participation in the program will not extend beyond three (3) months.

    Documentation that will be required should you be selected for internship are:

    • Letter from learning institution requesting for internship and confirming that this is part of the course requirement
    • Original and copy of KCSE/GCSE Certificate
    • Certificate of Good Conduct
    • Insurance cover

    Manager.Security Training

    Job description

    • Identify Aviation Security Training needs and the follow-up on the performance of operational airline staff in line with their AVSEC roles and capability improvement needs to enable the provision of development solutions to meet them and ensure full implementation and enforcement of security systems & procedures to provide a safe and secure environment for business operations.
    • Anticipate, understand and resolve performance and capability improvement needs in the company’s provision of Safety and Security for customers, employees and property
    • Work with HR colleagues, Functional Directors and line managers to identify technical and professional capability and development needs
    • Assist the function to diagnose specific capability, competence and skills gaps and enable the design and delivery of learning and development solutions to close them
    • Lead the definition of technical and professional competences, competence levels and pre- and post appointment training requirements and ensure they are included in role profiles and within the learning management system
    • Ensure the addition of behavioural competences, competence levels and raining requirements to role profiles
      Plan, organize and schedule the delivery of programs in collaboration with the function in order to enable easy access and full participation
    • Ensure that regulatory training and certification of competence is addressed to meet role requirements and external audit standards
    • Establish and develop a team of learning and development specialists with the capability to diagnose, design, deliver and evaluate learning in line with functional needs
    • Ensure the availability of external learning and development specialists so that there is adequate flexibility and expertise
    • Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of technical and professional development provided to the function relation to performance requirements
    • Provide ROI on Trainings offered.

    Requirement

    • University Degree in relevant field
    • 5 years of relevant experience in Aviation Security Training
    • ICAO accredited in Aviation Security Training
    • Knowledge of Aviation Security issues and Airport Security Services
    • Knowledge of Criminal procedure code, Evidence Act and the Penal Code
    • Communication & interpersonal skills.
    • Organizational, planning & analytical Skills.
    • IT proficiency
