Overall Responsibility

The Regional Driver Trainer has the responsibility to lead, organize and coordinate the driver training in the Anglophone Africa region.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Organize training for the ICRC drivers based in Kenya and other ICRC delegations in the region (15 countries). Monitor the performance and progress on driving skills, attitude and behaviour and propose further training if required;
• Communicate with the ICRC delegations to establish training schedules for their participants;
• Analyse road accidents affecting the ICRC delegations, produce regular regional reports and propose strategies to enhance road safety on a regional aspect;
• Take part in selection of appropriate external resources, facilitators or trainers when required and ensure the training is conducted in the highest standard of quality;
• Develop training materials and coordinate with the different facilitators to disseminate each training;
• Liaise and contribute in the yearly budget of drivers training of ICRC AFENG region delegations;
• Communicate and coordinate with commercial companies or local authorities to ensure safety and access to various locations for training purpose ;
• Coordinate with the ICRC workshop in Nairobi on the needed maintenance, repairs and security checks to be performed on the training vehicles after each practical session;

Minimum Requirements and competencies

• Holder of a Degree in Education, Transport Management or Equivalent;
• Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English. French is an asset:
• At least 5 years experience in a similar field;
• Very good computer Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
• Heavy commercial vehicle driving license all categories;
• Good technical knowledge in Automotive Technology;
• Experience in 4X4 Driving Training and Defensive driving training is a must;
• Must be a Kenyan Citizen;

The Regional Support Team Leader manages a team that provides customer support, master data management and training on logistics information systems within a given region.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides second-level support to JD Edwards software users;
• Ensures data consistency in JD Edwards software on supported sites;
• Organizes and provides training for key users and new logisticians;
• Assists with training and/or post go-live support for newly migrated sites;
• Manages a team that provides customer support, master data management and training within a given region;
• Participates in testing of new functionalities and reports releases;
• Writes and/or updates local procedures and manuals;
• On request, contributes to the BUILD phase of projects (e.g. contribute to design, participate in test campaigns);

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES

• Holder of a Degree, preferably in supply chain management or equivalent;
• At least 10 years experience in a similar field with proven records of managing a team;
• Minimum 3 years experience in first-level user support in Enterprise Resource Planning;
• Knowledge of JD Edwards software is a major asset;
• Experience in training people to use information systems is an asset;
• Advanced Computer Skills (high proficiency in excel);
• Excellent command of English. French or Spanish is an added advantage;
• Must be a Kenyan Citizen;

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY

The Fleet Asset Administrator supervises the purchase, transfer and disposal of the vehicle assets in the Anglophone Africa region. S/he supervises the organisation and logistics of the Fleet trainings which take place in Kenya.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Control and compare the number of vehicles registered in Fleetwave versus the quantity indicated in the yearly budget and liaise with the Anglophone Africa Delegations(AFENG) in case of discrepancies;
• In coordination with the Regional Vehicle Fleet Manager, supervise, liaise with the delegations and follow up on the sale/donation of AFENG vehicles and ensure proper green light is given at each stage;
• Control and compare all data registered in the sale certificate/agreement, donation certificate/agreement versus Fleetwave data and green light;
• Centralize the transfer/sale/donation requests from AFENG delegations and keep Fleetwave updated at all times;
• Control the consistency in Fleetwave data entries related to vehicles for AFENG delegations;
• Coordinate and supervise the organisation of AFENG trainings in Kenya;
• Generate reports on trainees, curriculum courses done and completed from Fleet wave and share the same with the person in charge of AFENG delegations and Logistic_Fleet Geneva;

• Advanced computer Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
• Experience in Fleet management programs is an asset;
• Thorough understanding of auction principles and regulations;
• Must be a Kenyan Citizen;
