Head of Africa, Commercial & Marketing at CA Global

Responsibilities:

• Customer relations and service to appraise customers in all aspects of their orders and shipments.
• Negotiation with customers on shipping schedules depending on availability of vessels and product.
• Preparation of shipping schedules.
• Prepare and process export shipping documents.
• Management of sales postings and compilation of sales reports.
• Liaison with shipping stakeholders and ensure that goods are delivered to customers in a timely and efficacious manner.
• Management of freight costs as per existing shipping contracts.
• Vetting of supplier invoices related to the shipping process as per contracts.
• Carry out periodic stock reconciliations and highlight any shortfalls or inconsistencies.

 Requirements:

• Bachelor degree or Diploma in Shipping Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Clearing & Forwarding or a recognized shipping practice.
• Professional membership in Shipping (Institute of Chartered shipbrokers) will be an added advantage.
• Good working knowledge in International Trade & application of Incoterms, clearing & forwarding, customs declaration, export / import commercial & legal regulations and procedures.
• Minimum 3 years of shipping / supply chain experience.
• Excellent communication skills, contacts and rapport with representatives of Logistics services providers and shipping partners.
• Excellent grasp of current C&F procedures and practices and ability to pick up relevant information in the industry both formally and informally.
• Salary offer: 650 – 750 USD
